Underwater camera?

hello.

I was wondering if underwater camera's were allowed @ DC? if so, Can you buy disposable waterproof underwater ones?

we are going to d/c this sunday, and the guy on the phone we spoke w/when booking was the one to mention to us to bring a underwater camera, and write our name and date on there also in case it's lost, they'll get it back to us. i don't know if they sell them there or not.

We bought some before we went last month. They sell them their as well, but found it cheaper to bring our own.

i was there a couple of days ago. The underwatner cameras, with 27 shots, cost $14.95. They open it there for you, and write your name and the date you visited with a sharpie. She said that they mail them, if they are lost.

Yes, underwater cameras are allowed but not for the dolphin swim! (no cameras or camcorders allowed for the dolphin swim)
Disposable cameras are not very good though, Just bought an waterproof Sanyo CA09 camcorder and camera and is great!!

I would highly recommend that you research any underwater camera beyond a disposable one. I would first recommend buying a water proof housing for a camera, rather than a camera that claims to be waterproof. Most are not and may work for a short time, but they typically fail at the battery compartment or where the memory card is inserted.
