Understanding Restaurant Menus...

My family and I have ADR's for this coming week at several restaurants. As I was reviewing the menus for the different restaurants, I noticed there is quite a price difference among entrees. Is there a price limit per entree with the dining plan?

For instance, at the Rainforest cafe, you can choose a burger for around $10 or you can choose a steak for around $20. Are both entrees considered one TS credit? That seems unlikely to me. Why wouldn't everyone just order a steak? :confused3

Help!

1 table service no matter what you order. Unless you go to a signature restaurant, of course. I assume not everyone likes steak, which is why not everyone orders it. Some people look for the greatest value, but others just choose what they want to eat.

Yep, an entree is an entree, all are included. You only use more credits if you are at a two credit restaurant. My hubby ate steak almost every meal...I mean why not?? That's part of the fun of the dining plan. It's also part of the pain...if you really would rather have something cheaper you may feel cheated and then order something more expensive instead just to get your moneys worth..... that's me.

Thanks for the quick response! I'm very happy to hear this because I LOVE steak, but my husband generally chooses burgers. When we go to dinner here at home, I try to get something comparable to his meal, so I don't feel guilty. However, I'm going all out when we go to Disney! Hooray!

We leave 38 hours!!

you can order what you want on the menu as it is 1 TS and then a dessert. when we go there I get the salmon but my sister always gets the chicken fried chicken and my brother in lawy always gets some pasta he likes there. we have always went OOP before as RF was not on the dining plan so this will be a first and just may try a steak there. now if a signature like Yachtsman club they have a 24 oz porter house and you can order that but also have smaller steaks but is still 2 TS there. also good steak for 1 TS is Konas cafe in the Poly and Captains Grilll and Le Cellier (lunch is still 1 TS) dinner is 2 TS and several other places have steak as well lije Grand Floridian Cafe for 1 TS. or say you go to Whispering Canyons in the WL they have a good family style breakfast lunch or dinner which ever you chose or you can order from menu and they have a good ribeye. My brother in law gets that and my sister and I get the BBQ family style meal is all 1 TS.

I love the fact that I can eat whatever I want, not whatever is in my budget. And I get the dining plan more for the convenience of having it paid in advance than the value, so I don't feel I need to order the most expensive meal at each restaurant. I just get whatever looks good to me at the time. :)
