Undercover tourist tickets

If I buy 5 day MYW tickets and then decide I want to park hop when I get there, will Disney let me upgrade them to Park Hoppers or would I have had to buy the tickets from Disney?

Yes, you can upgrade the tickets you buy from UCT.
