Undercover Tourist - 7 days?

Good morning,

I am planning a 9 day trip to Universal in May. We are mixing Universal with Sea World / Discovery Cove / Aquatica. I plan to buy the discounted DC tickets now and get the 14 day admission to SW and Aquatica. I was considering the Universal tickets from Undercover Tourist - buying the 4 day with the 5th day free. That should be enough days for us and I can always upgrade there if we need more.

However, I read the fine print and it says that the UT tickets are only good over a 7 day period. We are there for 9 days so it sounds like that will not work. Am I reading this right? Does anyone have experience with this situation? What are my options?

Figuring out the ticket piece for this trip has been a real challenge! I appreciate the advice.

Thanks,

That doesn't sound right. I can't google right now; can you show us the link and the quote you're reading? See if we are reading it he same?

Typically any multi-day ticket is good for 14 days from the 1st day's use, but when I check the ticket you talk about on UT, it indeed says 7 days. I have not seen this before.

When I look at the other tickets on UT (like the regular 5 day, regular 4 day etc.) they all seem to say 7 days now as well.

Now interestingly enough, when I go to shop for tickets on Universalorlando.com, they are all saying the same (7 consecutive days). So perhaps this is a change Universal has snuck in without publicly telling anyone.....

Thanks for the info - I was expecting the 14 days as well which was why I thought it was such an attractive option. Since we are paying for Discovery Cove which includes SW and Aquatica, I didn't think the FlexTicket was a good choice for us. Am I missing something? Also, I don't see the pricing out for 2017 yet. If I could have gotten the Universal tickets for $270-$280, I would save almost $200 for our family.

That's a real bummer on the UT changes.

It does appear to be a Universal policy change...only 7 days now...

Are you staying at one of Universal's hotels? Maybe you could talk to them and get an extension?

Depending on the dates you are going there is also the Power Pass (annual pass with blackout days) that doesn't cost much more than the multi-day tickets.
