Anyon have any way of getting around the HUGE code they charge for underage drivers???

My husband and I (hehe still giddy when I call him that.....just married!) are going to the World in Sept and neither one of us will be 25.

I loved having a car last time (my mom went). It was just so easy to get around!

If you have any tips please let me know!

No tips. Just wanted to say congratulations! I remember how weird it was at the beginning saying "my husband." Hope y'all have a great trip. I'm sure somebody here will have some good advice.

go to Fatwallet.com and under forums there is a link about travel/car rentals, i remember seeing something about getting around the 25 under rental a few months back.

Do either one of you work for a major corporation? The company I used to work for had a "corporate" agreement with National and Hertz. Use of that "corporate" rate got rid of the under 25 fees. (you could not use other discounts or coupons but it might be worth it)

If you're staying at the Radisson Resort, Thrifty offers a special rate which waives underage fees. Details are at radisson.com

Szymon,

I could not locate the under 25 code. Would you happen to know it or could you direct me to where I could find it?

Thanks!!

Try checking L&M Car rental. We've used them before when we were under 25 and the extra daily charge was very reasonable.

That's what I did.

If you join National's Emerald Club, the fee isn't AS high, but it's still bad.

I struggle with this one all the time. ugh.

Well as of right now I have a Thrifty Reservation from the 7th to the 15th of Sept for.........
DRUM ROLL!!!
$169.00!!!

That price waives the under 25 extra fees!!!

Now all I need to do is get a credit card that will cover the insurance and I"m golden!
