Undecorating the house

DH injured his foot before Christmas and is just now attempting to be off the crutches - so that tree may stay up even longer. The outside lights on the roof may be up until spring! (we'll stop turning them on after tomorrow probably).

I have a sprained ankle and can't climb the ladder to take the decorations off the tree, and my DS (who puts it together, takes it apart, and moves it to storage) had major knee surgery on 12/17. Neither of us can handle it right now, but I love my tree so it's okay with me if it stays up.

I just finished putting all our Christmas decorations away. We must be accumulating more stuff because it all never wants to fit in the same bins that they came out of--it's quite a challenge to get everything packed up. The house looks blah now that the decorations are put away. At least I can stack the bins in the basement--fitting it all under the stairs sounds too much like a challenge. Good luck with the geometry!

Christmas decorations should not come down until Christmas season is over.

I love putting them up, love it when they get put away, the house looks so clean! I do the putting away on New Year's Day after I watch the Rose Parade. Someone mentioned piling it on the dining room table, I do that too, then it's easier to pack up the tubs. It's still sitting in the garage for DH and I to load up into the attic, but it's out of the house - yeh!

I went back to work on New Year's Day. Today I start nights. I need to get the 3 big trees down and packed away before I head off to work. UGH.

It amazes me that no one else can "find the boxes" if I am at work.

Even if we finish the basement this year, I am holding back 1/2 of the decorations next year with PCC 2.0 in December.
