We have watched from there one time. There was a tree or two in the way but if you got in between them and up against the fence it wasn't to bad. A few people gathered around but it was better then the hub. That is where I'm thinking of going if we cant find another spot.

How is the viewing in front of crystal palace?

Very small area that is clear and unobstructed near Crystal Palace. Plus, for a fairly significant portion in the area that affords any view, the CM keep clear. They won't let you stop to watch.

We had wore out grandma's that parked in the hub on the western benches facing the castle about 7pm of a MNSSHP night. They watched the 8pm parade from that spot somewhat obstructed I guess but they had a comfy seat and they saw several castle villain shows before we joined them for CTM and Hallowishes. We then shifted to the part of the hub that faces the Liberty square bridge for the 2nd parade. Most folks were headed for the house after hallowishes so jostling for a good parade spot was not hard. This worked well for us and I recommend that strategy if you have seniors in your party that might enjoy sitting for a spell before the nighttime entertainment begins.

Where would a good place be to watch the 9:00 parade and fireworks at MK. Some place where we do not have to fight the crowds for a spot?
We did have a dessert party reservation but decided to cancel it because I thought we could get a same day reservation. Now to find out they are no longer doing the same day reservations and there are no more advance reservations available .

We like to watch the parade from the bridge over by Splash Mountain. We like to watch the fireworks from behing Cosmic Rays (or even better, from ON BTMRR)

Last I heard the railroad station viewing area is blocked off to the general public.

You can't see the castle show very well from that far back.
