Uncrowded place to watch MK parade and fireworks?

1. Isn't the previous FP+ area on the Casey's side open to all guests now?
2. I assume the view of the parade is not very good from this area though.

1. Yes. And, MAYBE the Plaza Restaurant side, as well. (See my post #20 above.)
2. Correct. Not good for MSEP parade viewing.

Sooo @Robo, What is the Tri-fecta? (ultimate spot for watching parade, CTM and Wishes)

Is Celebrate the Magic what happens in front of the castle immediately before Wishes?? TIA

Hang on, because this situation may be inn flux and is complicated and confusing.

Only the EAST (former) FP+ viewing area was being reserved for "day-of" guests for the Wishes Dessert party.
The WEST (former) FP+ viewing area has been left open to the general public.

HOWEVER: there has been a report that there are no longer any "day-of" guests for the Wishes Dessert party.
If this is true, we don't know if they have turned over the EAST (former) FP+ viewing area to the general public.

Interesting! I, for one, would be a BIG fan of it either being open to anyone, OR going back to being FP+ areas. I was pretty annoyed when they took that area for MORE dessert party guests. I know I am likely in the minority here and by all means, if the dessert party appeals to you and you would enjoy it, go for it, but my experience with the party was sub-par desserts in an okay viewing area (at tomorrow land terrace) at way too much money for what you get. I much prefer to get a delicious ice cream and enjoy it in a less crowded area for much less money. Just my opinion though.

Not Robo but my Prime spot to watch all 3 would be the intersection where you can turn to Casey's or to The Plaza. Stand on the sidewalk there for MSEP and then step off and in the street and up to where the road rises a little bit for CTM and Wishes.

Another choice is to watch MSEP from the Flag Pole area, as the parade passes by and they open the street follow the parade down the road and stop in the area from in front of Casey's to the place where the road starts to rise.

Yep, I agree. Or as I said, if you want to make it some sort of extra, develop a Dining Package viewing area for it.
But I can't imagine many people wanted to stand around in the terrace to eat desserts and then walk down to the viewing area. I can only imagine the PITA that would be

No ROBO but my family and I love either corner of the end of Main Street before the hub. Both sides you have a snack cart near by.
Casey's side you have Casey's. You can claim your spot and get dinner and sit and eat while you wait. There is a bathroom behind Casey's by the First Aide station. (gotta know where those bathrooms are for little ones). This view you see the parade coming AT YOU before they take the turn.
Plaza side, you have the ice cream shoppe on your side of the road. You also have the bathroom next to Plaza close by if the kids need to run in the middle of any of the shows or between shows.

Here we just remain where we are and the kids can stand up on the curb to get a BIT taller for the fireworks. This has always been our GO TO spot since my now 15yo was 2yo.

You can watch the fireworks from New Fantasyland without any crowds (and even find a seat!) but no view of the parade or castle show.

We have a family member who is unnerved by fireworks so we like to take advantage of the shorter ques at the end of the day. They used to close Fantasyland for the fireworks. Is it open now? Could you possibly catch a shorter que for 7Ds?

But you gotta fight crowds and get there super early no??

I have to give another recommendation for Liberty Square near the Christmas shop, or in front of the Hall of Presidents. I've found that area typically less crowded than anything near main street. If it's just fireworks, I like NF. We watched from Tommorowland once and that was nice also....grabbed a table between the Speedway and TTA, and it was non crowded and nice.

I think that parade viewing is way different than Fireworks viewing. I do not think that there is any uncrowded spot to see Wishes, especially if you want to see CTM, the Castle show. I would never miss that show.
Agree can't miss CTM,so much fun.

All of Fantasyland is open during the fireworks. We hopped on 7DMT right after the show and there was a 25 min wait. I understand that DURING the show is a great time to ride!

Yes, to some degree. How early and how many others are there depends on time of year. DH and I got a great viewing spot for Celebrate and Wishes last month just 5 min before it started.

And the advantage of following the parade is no one is in the street already, since you are right behind the parade. They'll file in with you as you walk by but you'll be in the front. Just stake out a spot for MSEP around the fire hall. It's not typically too bad back there.

How long would you have to stand in the same place to see the parade, celebrate the magic and wishes in the same night?

If you arrive an hour before MSEP begins, and stay in that spot until after Wishes,
it would be just under 2h 15m.
