A few weekends ago my DH and I stayed at BWV in a studio. We had never been there before and loved it. What a wonderful resort!!! We loved it so much we are going to try to switch existing ressies in Dec from SSR to BWV. Unfortunately, the only thing we didn't like was the bed. It was the most uncomfortable bed we had ever had in a hotel room in a very, very long time. And my DH thinks that is was not a queen, but a full. (personally I don't agree....we have a king at home so anything but that seems small).
Anyway, is this typical of the BWV beds or did we just get a bad one??? We were in a disabled room on the 1st floor....room 1070.

I also forgot to ask.....if we do get lucky enough to get a 2bdr at BWV in December, can we request not to have a disabled room? We found the seat in the shower very, very intrusive. Each time either of us showered we commented on how we ran into it....and we are not large people. We will need to have the tub on our next trip.

Thanks

Some have mentioned that if you say "non-handicapped" it's the word "handicapped" that gets remembered. It's safer to request a bathtub, although if you get the 2 bedroom, there will definitely be a jacuzzi.

We've never been unhappy with a bed at BWV, or at any of our DVC rooms, so our sleep comfort is different than yours.

Our experience @ WL, BW & BC (not sure about the remaining) has been that beds in the studio are full-size (queens would be lovely), and it's certainly not a comfort bed;) . That said, we're usually so beat; sleeping is not an issue.

ot - a washer & dryer would be divine:rotfl:

We have stayed at SSR BCV OKW and always had a Queen and they weren't bad. I like hard beds though.

My DH & I find all the WDW beds uncomfortable. We have a water bed at home and nothing can come close. :confused3

Not matter how much we love WDW and the DVC, we are always happy to get home and sleep in our own bed.:cool1:

I have never had a problem with the beds at BWV it was the sleeper sofa in the studio that was horrible!!! The 2 bedroom sleeper sofa was great go figure...I think it just depends on what is in the room.

I would'nt think Disney would buy different matresses for different resorts!!! Probably a dud!!!!

I have heard someone post that the mattresses in the handicapped rooms may be firmer than the regular mattresses. Not sure why that would be the case.

The beds in the BWV studios are queen sized. The sleep sofa is double sized.

If you get the 2 bedroom, there will be a king size bed in teh Master Bedroom - those were recently replaced with pillow top mattresses. My DH & I though the bed was quite comfortable.

I, too wonder if the beds in the HA studios are different - I suspect they are,

If it is queen size, then we must have a very large queen mattress @ home - we felt rather squished! Ours is a waterbed replacement mattress; don't think it's over-sized.:confused3 In that case, I'd really hate to sleep on a full sized one.:rolleyes1

We have no problems with the beds in the studio's.
