Hi Folks,

I recently got back from a wonderfull stay at the Boardwalk Villas( 02/26/06, 03/08/06) great weather and great times all around. However I have a story to tell here that is not fabricated whats so ever. Well I was lineing up for the magical express back to MCO, our Magical Express driver was the rudiest man I have ever encountered in my entire life. This fellows name is a Mr Kavin Robinson ( Pronounced Kevin with an a) I was traveling with my parents and his opening line to my parents was " You need to get your boy here on a diet" he then went even further calling me a " Mess" and " I need to take care of myself' and that " I am gonna have diabetes in no time". Could you imagine the embarssement I felt with this man saying this to me in public with dozens of people around. I never said one single word to this driver and he was all over me putting me down. I have never in all my life felt more embarrsed and sad, just imagine how good it would feel having some one who is supposed to be doing a service for you embarassing you in public. The Funny thing is I am not that big, I am a little over weight but I am a weight lifter with big arms and stuff, but I have a 36 inch waist and I am about 6 feet and weigh around 225. What really bothers me is that I have stuggled with my weight all my life, and when I was a kid I was really big but I have never been so put down ever even in school compared to what Mr Kavin Robinson said to me. My parents were at a lost for words, I could not belive it, then this jerk tells everyone while he is driving us back to the airport, that " we need to contact Mears and tell them how good of a bus driver he is so he can get a promotion" can you belive that. This man is not a cival human being whats so ever, I could have called him bald, old, and ugly right to his face but I am not like that and I did not want to stoop to his level. Anyways I would like to contact Mears and Disney about this Magical Express driver, I do not want an apolilgy or anything, all I want is for them to have a talk with this fellow, and tell him to keep his big mouth shut. All I want is for him not to ruin someones elses vacation like he ruined mine. I would like to know from you folks who I should contact. This is a true story word for word.

OMG! I'm sorry I don't have info for you, I just wanted to say how awful for you. That man has no business working for Disney, or anywhere with the public for that matter. However, remember, what goes around, comes around ;) He'll get his someday (I hope)

I would definitely e-mail Disney guest services and Mears, as all the drivers are actually Mears employees.

Such a person should not be working with the public.
 

I am so sorry that this happened to you. No Excuse for such behavior. I would think Disney would want to know about this. He should Never and I mean Never hurt anyone again. So good for you telling Disney. You take care.. How was the weather when you went?

Ugh! I'm so sorry that happend! I would definately complain about this man and let them know exactly what happend. That's just uncalled for!! :mad:
 
I feel very sorry that this happened to you. That kind of behavior is unexcusable and should not have been tolerated. We had a problem with a bus driver too but it was while we were there. You can call and talk to the transportation coordinator. I know while we were there they wanted to compensate us by giving us a free ride to the place/park of our choice in a personal disney van. We declined. That bus driver was not on our resort route the next day and for the rest of our trip. If you post this on the transportation board or even send a private message to Chip N Dale Express, he can help you as he is a disney cm who I believe now is doing bus transporation again, his name is tyler and I am sure he can help you. I was also going to suggest posting on the transportation board so that Tyler would respond. I am sure he knows who you should get in contact with.
 
I also suggest posting on the transportation board. I am sure you can get the appropriate info as to who to contact at Disney. Mears also has a website that has all the contact information and address of the offices in orlando. It is mearstowncar.com. I am sorry that you went through such an awful experience at a time when you should have been very excited and happy. This man obviously needs some lessons in tact. Good luck to you.
 
That is horrible & unacceptable behavior. You should definately contact WDW & Mears & let them know. I am so sorry that happened to you. :grouphug:

I know how if feels to struggle with weight issues but you sound healthy and active!!

I would make my voice heard to ME or Mears or whoever...

I'm sorry that he did that :sad2: - just think to yourself that he probably has a twisted sense of humor and thought he was being very funny (or clever or something), and it might not have even occured to him that his words were actually quite cutting.... I agree though that he needs to be told never to say anything like that again to ANYONE :guilty:

I think he's onto something here- obviously, given the statistics that you told us, I don't see how he could have been serious. What he probably meant is that you're in great shape, and he was backhandedly paying you a compliment. Like the part about "please give me a promotion" was supposed to be funny. Obviously, I wasn't there, so you're in a far better position to make sense of what he said. One of the many reasons NOT to go outside the bounds of normal customer relations conversations- he had no idea of your history, your view of yourself, etc.
