The Disney store in our local mall was given a very short notice to close their doors for good. I didnt know this until I happened to walk into the store on their last day open and found it all most empty. They were selling what was left for 75% off. When I saw the pin rack (mostly picked over) with pins marked $1.12 and then 75% off I couldnt believe it! We purchased 11 pins (3 musical), a coffe mug, a antenna topper and 2 t shirts for about $12.00. I am sad about the closing but we have another store about 20 miles from us that is remaining open. Just thought I'd share my great bargains with everyone.

Thanks for sharing..... was this the DS at Valley West or Merle Hay? Next time I head that way, I want to go to the mall that still has the DS! :(

Our store is closing on Friday. My son and I went last night. I picked up two Princess dolls (Snow White and Cinderella) for 1/2 price. $8.25 each.

My son got a bunch of pins. Reduced 75%, then 50% off that.

We will probably hit it one more time before Friday.

Where is the store that is closing? Are there lots of them closing or just a few? I was wondering if any in my area would be?

Our store does not have any signs posted that they are closing, but they were having an AWESOME sale last weekend. Clothing was like 30 - 40% off with 75% off clearance; plush was anywhere from 25% - 50% off. The playsets were anywhere from 33% to 50% off. They had only a few pins (I had to ask), and they pulled out a plastic container (the manager said they were "returns from the park"), and they were all Valentine's Day with 50% off. I also noticed that the display case/shelf thingie where they had some of the higher priced stuff (watches, jewlery) was empty.

I hope ours does not close, but the sale sure made it look they were clearing out!

Shell,

Those are the regular sales that are company wide. It's to make way for all the summer stuff. Bring on the Nemo merchandise!

I'm finally going to be able to get to the disney store this weeekend. Does anyone know if these sells will still be going on?

Thank! :D

Almost makes me wish our store would close so I can take advantage of some bargains!

My store is in Shreveport, LA. The Monroe, LA store closed about 10 days ago. Our store closes on Friday. Our nearest store will be Tyler, TX, but I don't hold much hope for that one either. We'll just have to go to the store in Houston or Dallas or wait until we get down to WDW.

CJMickeyMouse-our store closing was at Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids so the next closest one (for us) would be at CoralRidge Mall on I-80. I'm just praying that one doesnt close, if it does I dont think that there is one close enough for me to run and buy disney dollars or park passes anymore. I think Disney is having some tough times.

Thanks Joyfulsnuff!

I used to shop frequently at 5 stores. Now there is only one within driving distance. Pretty sad! With the 'direction' the stores were going.... it was getting difficult to find things anyhow.... I guess I don't have to try anymore. :(

My sister lives in Cedar Rapids and told me the other day that it had closed. I couldn't believe it. I live in Coralville, and I work at Coralridge. I'll have to stop and ask them if they are closing. My sister heard rumors, but I was there yesterday and didn't see anything. I'll let you know if it closes.

It makes me sad to hear of the closings of so many Disney Stores. There were a little touch of the parks between trips. :(

Other then calling the store directly and asking them if they are closing- is there anyway else to find out if they are? I am soooooo lucky- I have 4 stores with 30 mins of where I live, but with everything I'm reading here, I can't believe they'll all stay open! Does anyone know?
