I am planning a short solo trip to Disney in September. As luck would have it, a family I am friends with is going the very same week! They offered to let me partake in their military discount, which happily increased my touring plan from a full day at one park then an evening at MNSSHP to being able to visit each of the 4 parks, something I have never done. I was reluctant to accept since we aren't traveling together but they've insisted it's not against the rules.

Here's my dilemma: Pre-booking fastpasses.

I've encouraged my friends to order the park tickets ahead of time so that we can all take part in scheduling fastpasses. I don't think this is something that they are really interested in, for whatever reason. I think that out of habit from other trips, they purchase the tickets upon arrival then go from there.

My question is, should I be unable to book FP prior to arrival, will I still be able to book anything worthwhile once I have them? I'm concerned because my touring plan is not lengthy and I want to see and do as much as I can with the time I have.

Arrival Day, appx 4:00PM - Epcot EMH until 11PM
RD @ HS, PH to MK for EMH until 11PM
RD @ AK, MK for MNSSHP from 4-11PM

TL;DR Can I book any good fast passes if I'm booking them during the actual trip?

If you are just 1 person the yes in most parks your be able to get good fastpasses. However, if it is the entire group you are booking for then probably not.

Yes...this is a slower time so they'll be openings & people cancel all the time.

We went last year at April vacation and did not buy tickets prior to arrival. While we would have been hard pressed to get Anna & Elsa or 7 Dwarfs, we had no problem booking most everything else the day before or even day of. You'll be fine & should get to do just about anything you'd like.
