Can you specify bunk bed rooms as opposed to just requesting them at WL? It doesn't seem so...anyone know?

thanks all!!!:hippie:

Bunk beds at WL are a separate class of room that must be reserved and paid for (this is a fairly recent change). You won't be able to simply request them. Well, you CAN request them, but if all of them are reserved and sold out for your dates then you'd have zero chance of getting that request.

Thanks everyone! The WDW reservations page is a bit confusing...it says "Most rooms are available with your choice of king-size bed, two queen-size beds, one queen-size bed and bunk beds"...they need to update that page so we can see the prices for a bunk bed room and how it compares to other rooms.

Even though there is an extra cost, I don't mind paying a little more to secure a bunk bed room. Last March, when we went, we were lucky enough to get a bunk bed room, but the only one we could get was a smoking room (it had a slight odor). I'd rather ensure a non-smoking bunk bed room before I get there and not have to wing it again.

That said, I looooooooooooved having a bunk bed room! It worked out so well with my family. My two boys enjoyed the bunk beds and my DH & I were able to sleep together all week instead of with a child. :yay:

Keep in mind that the Bunkbed rooms are only available in the Woods and Courtyard View categories. There are no bunkbed rooms in the Standard View category.

At all resorts, the people that check you in have a good deal of flexibility when assigning you to a room. Be sure to be nice and use their name from the moment you step up. Go ahead and ask for upgrades, you may get them!

I didn't ask (nor was I looking for) upgrades last year but got some. In July at the WL, while doing the paperwork fo my no-view room, I told the lady at the front desk that she had a lovely accent and we began chatting about the Phillippines, which is where she was from. I asked other questions too and she commented on how cute my DS 2 was--so we chatted about him a bit.

Before you know it, she says, "Let's give you bunk beds for big brother and sister." I sincerely thanked her. Then she said, "Would you rather see the lobby from your room or the fireworks of the Magic Kingdom?" To this I replied, "Are you kidding me?"

That was an example of a nice conversation turning into a fortuitous circumstance.
