Unable to book a deluxe villa?

Up until today I was able to price out, directly on the WDW site, vacation packages with a deluxe villa. It is now telling me none at any resort are available. Is this because they are held first for the DVC members? I know buying points is an option, but at what point are they available on the WDW site? Thank you if you know the answer!

when are you going? what resort were you looking at? what type of view? what type of villa?

generally you can get one from 7 to 5 months before your arrival time.

otherwise you might get one 60 days before your arrival time.

Villa inventory for cash reservations is a completely different inventory then that for DVC owners. CRO has about 2-4% of the rooms for cash reservations. The rest are DVC.

If you could book them yesterday but not today my thinking is that there are none left or that maybe there is something up with the system.

what are your travel dates?

I have the same problem - I've been waiting til today to price out 3rd week of September 2013, 2 bed villa at Wilderness, no availability so I went with my backup plan of AK 2 bed and again, no availability

I am looking at the week of June 10th, probably a 1 BR villa, and I'm not sure which resort- weighing out WL, AKL, and OKW. But I've tried all of those and others and none are available. Seems weird?

You are too far out. Typically they don't start posting DVC villas until about 10 months before.

really surprised it let you view anything.

even members can't book until 11 months - so right now it probably can't book you - until the members get their time.

don't worry - more will turn up - what CRO gets is any time a member exchanges into a Disney cruise, WDW hotel, adventure, concierge collection - then it gets the reservation from the member home resort - also undeclared inventory is sometimes included.

However it just might be a problem with the computer - because fairly sure there is still undeclared inventory at AKV - and they generally have inventory at OKW?

I found in 2009, when booking AKL 1 br sv that nothing was available for months until a little after 7 mo.s (if I'm recalling correctly) then availability happened and I got what I wanted - my theory @ the time was that inventory opened up because DVC members where doing stuff @ their 7 mo. window, but that was just my hypothesis. I do recall looking every day for a long time before it suddenly became available.

I was able to book a 1 bedroom at BLT for next June this morning. 2 bedrooms were also available at that point.

That would be because DVD still owns a lot of the inventory at BLT that hasn't yet been purchased by members, so more to turn over to CRO for cash bookings.
