Un-Tangled-Getting My Life Back....PTR!! TR Started! 5/30

Very cute sunglasses!

Just came to check out your pics for your last update. I can see them since I'm home today. Love them!

Those are just adorable.

Thank you, but I'm not sure they will work out. :worried:

They were defective from the manufacturer, like one whole side is cocked up enough they cover almost my entire eyebrow on the right side. :rolleyes2
The eye glasses place were able to heat them and move them around to a normal position, but they seem to have a memory and wants to return to their defective state. :smooth:

Oooh very nice! Hope they work out for you!

We'll have to see. I'm taking them back to see if they can adjust them again and see if they will stay this time. Wish me luck!

I thought so too, just hoping I don't have to exchange them for something different.
Nice! Did you have a day off?
I'm glad you are liking the pictures, I know giving out park plans can get kinda boring so I try and at least make the pictures worth looking at. :goodvibes

Hey Girl, all caught up.

Love the sunglasses and hope they behave and you dont have to replace them.

Lovin all the plans. :goodvibes

So excited for you and your trip to DL!! :goodvibes

So far the glasses aren't behaving. :worried: I'm going to take them back one more time and have them tweaked again, if they stay I'll be happy as a girl can be, if they don't then I'll have to find something else that will work. :(

Have the most magical time!! Remember this is where all the magic started, this is where Walt actually walked, dreamed, planned and made Disney what it is. ::yes:: :lovestruc

Sorry I've been so.....

:goodvibes

I should have an update by tomorrow, I started on it today and realized I was doing a day I had already done! :rotfl: I kept thinking...."Boy this sounds familiar..." :lmao:

Caaaause it waaaaaas.

Howdy Dis'ers!! :wave2:

And...

Happy Fall Y'all!!

Copy and paste in your siggie if you like. :)

I've neglected y'all for far too long! It was time I get my hiney over here and let y'all know what's been going on...

Sad to say I didn't make my weight goal for last week, but I expected that at some point, and I'm sort of okay with it. I keep telling myself it's okay and that I have to expect this from time to time.

On a brighter front, I did buy some new clothes, some for the trip (pj's) and also for when the weather get's cooler. I'm happy to report I finally bought a jacket that isn't black!! :cool1: For those who don't understand why that's a big deal (the ladies know what I'm talking about ;)), a woman will wear black, at times, so they can conceal their weight better. Of course that's not why all women wear black, but anyone who's over weight will tell you it it's pretty much their go to color.

I suppose you'd rather I get on to better things than talking about the silliness of clothing and such. ::yes::

Okay!! We're on to our FIFTH park day, Wooo Hooo! I say this, but Mackie and I will probably be hitting a wall at this point. But I know myself and Mackie all to well....we won't for a second allow Maroo to know this. We have this last day with Maroo and we won't allow our testy, sleep deprived, hiney's ruin any part of this trip for her. Besides, we have an amazing day the next day to relax and sleep in a little, (just a slight teaser on what's to come) along with some other fun things I can't wait to share!!

This day will be our.....

DSC03021.jpg

Animal Kingdom Day!!

We have a fairly big day here, not just because of the park, although that's a big part of it. Our big day is happening here because we have two ADR's today, yes two!! At the same place, you read that right, two ADR's at the same place. This happens to be Maroo's, Mackie's and my favorite buffett on property!! When you get all three people liking the same place you can't go wrong eating there twice. We're eating aaaaat.....

DisneyWorldBomaRestaurant.jpg

Mackie and I have wanted to try the breakfast here since we heard about it, but when you travel with Mr. Grumpy Gills aka my Mr. Incredible you find that even doing one ADR in a day can be a true test of patients. :rolleyes2

So, since we don't have the boys to complain, we are eating at BOMA for breakfast AND dinner!! When Mackie and I sat down and tried to figure out a day to try and do breakfast there, we realized this would be the best day. So, when I text Maroo I wasn't sure what she would say to our silly idea of eating at the same place, in one day!!
I knew she loved eating here for breakfast but I wasn't sure about dinner, my fears were quickly put to rest because she jumped all over this idea as much as Mackie and I did!

I think Mackie is most looking forward to the scrambled eggs with goat cheese. :crazy2: I can't stand goat cheese, as far as I'm concerned licking the back side of a goat would be better tasting than this stuff.
sicksmilie.gif

But if this is what my baby girl wants, then she can eat those eggs until she's grows her own goatee.
goatee.gif
You know...goat, they have goatee's....oh never mind.

I'm so looking forward to eating breakfast here, there will be many healthy options for me to try!!! I was never one to typically eat breakfast (with my diet change I started drink a protein shake every day), except when on vacation. I don't know what it is about getting up early but I swear I could eat a football player under the table with the way my stomach feels when I wake up early on vacation. I can't actually eat that much, but it sure feels like I can!

I know we won't eat lunch, probably a snack through the afternoon since this will be a late breakfast. Anyone have an idea for a somewhat healthy snack in AK? It doesn't have to be a diet item per say, just not fried or full of simple carbs. :rotfl: Okay, so it would have to be "diet friendly". Ooooh, I bet there will be some whole fruit at the buffet!! :duck: No flaming, I don't want to hear it, if they didn't want us to take the fruit it wouldn't be there, just because I don't eat it there in the restaurant doesn't mean I'm doing something wrong. :teeth:

Okay, okay, I'm boring y'all to death with this silly talk of eating. On to our plans!
So! The plan is to make rope drop, get a couple of rides in on Everest and maybe the safari, and then high tail it right back out of the park to make it over to BOMA for breakfast.
Then we'll make it back into the park to get a FP for something and then find some amazing thing we may never have done before.

I say this because on our first trip to the world I only planned one day here, and everyone was revolting by that point (due to lack of sleep) so we didn't get there until a few hours after it opened. Needless to say, I didn't get to see a lot, especially if you wanted to get any sort of rides in or a show.

Even with our last trip, I only went one day. The second AK day I stayed in our room most of the day because my feet and lower legs were so swollen I almost couldn't walk. Not to mention the horrible crazy "rash," that people talk about getting when they go to WDW.
It's due to the heat I know because it starts to feel better and diminsh as soon as I'm in airconditioning but I'm not sure if it's a vascular thing, bacterial thing, or what?!? <vascular is what a lot of people say it is when you try and look it up> I figured out the swelling came originally from putting my aching feet and legs in the hot tub a couple nights at the start of our trip, bad mistake, figured that out when I went to Liesa's for a Dis meet. We sat in the hot tub one evening and I had a heck of a time with swelling there after. (All7ofUs on the Dis). The swelling would of course get worse as the walking continued and the heat continued.

I have pictures of it (I'll spare you) to take to the doctor to see if they can give me some sort of steroids or something to prevent it in the future, but I'm hoping with less weight on this body and hopefully cooler weather (it becomes worse with the heat) than last time, I won't have the same issues. Pictures you say? Yipper! Both times I've come home and tried to get in to be seen but it goes away before I can be seen by a doctor. I'm hoping the weight will make a difference, although I've had skinny people tell me they have the same issue (rash) while in the parks. <cross your fingers I dont have the same issue this time>

Once we're back in the park I have a few things I need to get under my belt!!

I have yet to see Nemo all the way through...

Florida15.jpg

So hoping FOTLK will be back in order by the time were there, can't miss Pat's monkey man!!

195FotLK.jpg

I've also missed the Discovery Island Trails as well as Maharajah Jungle Trek. It's like I've been living under a rock!

I did discover the Pangani Trails and really fell in love with the Gorillas, this guy was a my favorite...

He just woke up from a nap and found all these people staring at him, I'm thinking this would be my reaction too!

:rotfl:

When all us humans wouldn't leave he thought he'd let us know what he really thought...

"Tell it to my backside!"

Something else I've never done is have a tasty drink at the Dawa Bar. Hoping to find something yummy. Ooooor! I may hold off and have one of these at dinner....

DSC03276.jpg

As you can see my crazy son placed himself into the photo. That's my boy!! He's always doing goofy things like that. If you look closely there's not a lot of ice in this drink, I purposely told the waiter..."More drink than ice." (I wasn't having the best day with my family that day) He stopped because he was walking away at first and turned to look at me and got the funniest smirk on his face, a smirk of understand I'm pretty sure. I got the best drink of the whole trip!! :rotfl2:

Okay, I think I've dragged this on far too long. And I missed my dead line of yesterday by over an hour...sorry guys. It's late and I dont' feel like proof reading, so forgive me. Thank you for reading everyone.

I love the idea of eating breakfast AND dinner at Boma! I'm not sure about leaving the park and coming back though...I'm not sure that you'll be able to fit in all that you want to do, plus it's a lot of walking. Are you planning 2 days for AK? If so, you can probably hit everything.

Denny and I left AK to have Boma breakfast. It worked out great because we had a late ADR (almost 11am) and AK opened at 0800. The timing was perfect. I will tell you though (spoiler alert), we were too lazy to go back to AK so we went back to take a nap and went back to the park later. Breakfast was really yummy and I really enjoyed the jungle juice.

My vote for the Dawa bar is the Lost on Safari. So good.

Great plans. Looks like a fun day!

Me too!! :goodvibes

I'm not worried in the least, we've done this before on our DHS days. Both trips we've gone to our late ADR for 1900 Park Fare and then go back to DHS to finish out our day.

Are you planning 2 days for AK? If so, you can probably hit everything.

This is the plan!! :goodvibes I'm just hoping there won't be an issue with the rash and swelling this time.

A fairly late ADR is the plan, this way we can have brunch, skip lunch and then come back later for dinner. :thumbsup2

Since it's Maroo's last day she'll probably want to hit the park again. Not to mention Mackie and I have some making up to do for all the lost days in the past!! ::yes::

My vote for the Dawa bar is the Lost on Safari. So good.

This is the drink I had in mind, I've heard there is the exact same drink called by a different name but one costs more than the other. :confused3 I wonder which is which?!? :rotfl:

Great plans. Looks like a fun day!

Thank you!! I think it will be. REALLY looking forward to the next day, it's Mother's Day. :flower3:

Just wanted to stop by and say I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

It's been rainy and now windy here, really loving this weather!! :goodvibes

I'm happy to anounce I did make my weight goal for this week.
confetti.gif

I'm hoping to play some catch up somewhere along the way, but we'll just have to see.
I've actually been thinking I may need to bump up my weight sets to four on my weight days instead of three, this may help.
exerciseweights10.gif

I'm also thinking about adding another day of cardio in there somewhere.
running.gif
actually this may be more appropriate....
hamster-running.gif

Either way I'm starting to feel I need to make a change again. ::yes::

Oh I would love some rain. We are going to have hot weather for the next week according to the weatherman. Boo!

I love the idea of a Boma double dip! I'd wanted to do the breakfast on our last trip and it got cut for budget reasons so am a wee bit jealous.

More drink than ice. That is such a Jeff line I love it!

We've had plenty of hot weather this summer, but I'm so happy we've actually been cooling off this Fall. Not like typical Fall weather in other parts where the seasons actually change. But much cooler for us. :) Here's wishing y'all some rain. pixiedust:

Me too!! I've been wanting to do this for a while, maybe next, next girl's trip you'll get to have breakfast there. Or this trip, talk the girls into it, or just go by yourself and have a little me time. ::yes::

More drink than ice. That is such a Jeff line I love it!

You got yourself a good man!! :thumbsup2 And besides, it usually get's you a better drink! :upsidedow

Great update, Camille. I love your AK day plans. We've never done Boma for dinner (I'm not very adventurous when it comes to my food), but we do LOVE our breakfasts there every year (especially my juice :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:). I don't want to give too much away from when I do my TR, but we missed both shows at AK this year much to my disappointment, so glad to see you are doing both.

Way to go Millie!!!!! :cheer2:

Thank you, Alysa! :goodvibes How are you feeling? Getting close now. :cheer2:

Congrats on making your goal! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

And your day at AK/AKL sounds awesome!

Thank you!! :) How are your plans coming?

Thank you Ms. Kat!! :goodvibes Welcome home!! How is the planning for the party going? I'm betting you'd like BOMA for dinner, there's enough things there that are normal, but also a lot of wonderful foods to try that are just different enough. The soups are outstanding!! ::yes:: Those alone are worth going for, that and the salads and zebra domes!! :cloud9: Actually the desserts there are probably my favorite on property, lots to choose from and in really small portions so we can try lots of different one's! :upsidedow
I'm hearing that FOTLK will be closing down soon, not sure if it's Disney's gentle way of breaking it to us that it's no longer going to be there or if it's really going to be moved. I'm hoping the later, since it's one of my favorite shows. ::yes::

Thank you!! :) How are your plans coming?

Doing well on the training and saving front - just a couple of weeks left of the couch to 5k!

Unfortunately being so long away, there's not a lot else I can do for the moment, but I have my trip to Paris in the meantime which is coming along very nicely :thumbsup2
