OK, now that everyone has gotten me all in a tizzy over the weather, do people at the park use umbrellas? Or is it just too difficult considering all the people? I would normally use one, if it's not too cold and I am comfortable just wearing a sweater.
But I don't want to be " that person" who annoys everyone by using it when everyone else just throws on a poncho and goes.

As a lot of people on this board know, my pleasure comes from Disneybounding and I spend a lot of time creating my outfits. I have spent many hours on this trip ( to say nothing of $$$$$) curating my Steamboat Willie and Sorceror Mickey outfits. I don't want to ruin them in the rain(if it's a downpour) but if it is only light drizzle off and on, I'd be ok wearing a skirt if I could use my umbrella...

OMG...TALK ABOUT FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS!

So, give me some feedback on the umbrella thing...worst case scenario I've already ordered a red beanie off Amazon that will at least match my Christmas SJs. I'll pack my old Mickey raincoat and plain ole jeans...okay, maybe red jeans...🤣😂🤣😂😁😱

There will always be Spring Dapper Day...

PS--I guess the good thing will be that if it's a rainy day on Saturday, park crowds will be lower since locals won't venture out 🤣😂

DL is a very localized crowd and it rarely rains here. Your instincts are spot-on; crowds are minimal if it is raining. IME, the rain here is colder so you don't want to be wet. If we know it's going to downpour we bring full rain suits, especially waterproof shoes.

My guess is if you prepare for it, it won't rain. If you don't it will. Umbrellas are fine, ponchos aren't worth the trouble.

I have had those waterproof shoe covers in my Amazon cart ever since someone recommended them ...guess it might be time to pull the trigger on them...😂

People carry umbrellas in the park both when it rains as well as when it is very sunny.

Yes, I do use my sun umbrella when there in summer but I do get a lot of side eye when I do. I don't care because I get heat stroke really easy and honestly, I've only seen maybe two/three others do the same. But if it's raining hard and there's a hundred people carrying umbrellas down MainStreet, it could get crazy.

As usual, I'm overthinking it all but I can't help that, it's how I'm wired. But I have calmed down a bit, have looked at some optional outfits and I just keep remembering....any day at Disneyland is better than a day at home! 😁

If only the water on that ride came from above! A full-body wetsuit is more appropriate...
The woman in front of us last time had shopping bags tied over both of her shoes. The water might not come from below, but it can sure accumulate down there. I put my backpack in a garbage bag and was glad I did.

Like others said, I've used an umbrella for sun in the parks so I think it's fine for rain. Unless it's a massive umbrella or something, I don't think it would be an issue.

We had a trip with rain in the forecast. Watched and watched that forecast and it never dropped off. So I ordered a clear umbrella and we went with it. Got some fun empty street photos.

I like the idea of a clear umbrella for the parks in rain. If our forecast looks rainy, I may have to get one. How did yours hold up? If it was from amazon, do you have a link?
