We were thinking of trying to get a Cabana but they are pricey. We aren't really all day beach/water park people, so just renting an umbrella might be a better option for us just to have a guaranteed spot and umbrella. However it says the spots are good for 4 people with 4 towels but it says you get 2 recliner and a table with umbrella. What about the other two people? Do they have to sit in the sand or lay their towel down or do you get an addition two regular chairs?

You get 2 reclining and 2 sand chairs 4 towels plus locker. We looked into it during our last stay but passed. It cost $55. We are a party of 2

How far in advance do these need to be booked? We are still up in the air about our water park day but would love to get one of these!

I was able to book an umbrella space at Typhoon Lagoon the night before I went. I was also able to request a location, and it was granted.

we are leaning towards getting one too for our trip next April. We will be going to Blizzard Beach most likely, so it would be nice for some guaranteed spots!

To give you a visual, this is what you get at Blizzard Beach:

and at Typhoon Lagoon:

The small chairs are stacked in the TL photo...there are actually two there, not one.

I am interested in this option but we may have 4 adults, DS3 and DD1 (with a nice stroller for DD1 where she can hang out).

Would this set up work for us? If we arrive right at opening at 10am will we be able to find chairs elsewhere? I can't imagine we will do very much relaxing given our kids but would like a place to dump our stuff.

Very helpful to read for pricing info, thank you! Also helpful on the post about requesting locations, & the pics. Does anyone know of online maps showing locations for both parks? Maybe it's bc both are currently closed, but cant find any listed on the website. Anyone have any tips on best locations for both parks? It's our 1st trip so clueless of layout. Also, how far out can you reserve? We'll be there when it's way hot/crowded, multi waterpark days, & will be there all day. Worth the umbrella price to us for shade & to have a guaranteed resting spot.

I haven't been in a long time. If you don't rent an umbrella is there any for the grabbing?

We've always gone at park opening and thrown our shoes/towels on a few chairs by some trees and it has always been fine. We are out and moving around and only rest for maybe an hour a day. We keep our money in one of those waterproof plastic necklace things you can buy in the gift shop, but now they have magicbands, so maybe that's not even needed. No one has ever taken/moved our things.

The only time I would consider renting an umbrella is if I was planning on arriving later in the day.

The section where the umbrellas are set aside and you get a wristband to enter. Security goes through and kicks folks out if they arent banded. Around the big wavevpool are chairs in shaded areas but those are tough to get. Maybe some umbrellas? but I dont remember.

Thx!
I looked at the map where the umbrellas are, can u tell me is it a good spot? Seemed far away from water. Also is it less crowded? I remember feeling packed in next to people last time we were there

We went in Aug and were able to book the last one available when we got there that morning. If I went again I would be sure to book one in advance. While it was a SUPER hot day and we didn't spend much time out of the water, it was nice to have a designated spot for the family to meet and since the reserved spots are in a roped off area it felt slightly more secure to leave our stuff there.

I know this is an old post, but I was trying to look at the photo of the rental at Typhoon Lagoon and it won't open. Can you PM it to me possibly?
