Umbrella Stroller Brands

I bought a stroller from One Step Ahead, www.onestepahead.com It's made by Combi, same model as the Cosmo but carrying the OneStepAhead logo. It was about $50. I took it with me on a solo trip to WDW with my DD2. Didn't have any problems handling her and the stroller alone. Folds compactly, and has a carry strap. The raincover was also available for purchase, as was a travel bag. As far as comfort...I'm 5'4", so I don't have many problems with height. I do know that there is an extender available on that site as well (like a previous poster mentioned).

We have a 06 Maclaren quest and my dd fits great (she's 35 inches and 31 lbs) but the basket underneath is SO small and the rain sheild dosen't cover the top of the sun shade. It attached to the edge of the sun shade when it's extended and then along the stroller frame. Ok if it's just sprinkling, not so good for a real strong rain, as the fabric quickly gets saturated.

I bought 2 umbrella strollers for my DD2.5 and DD5 for the trip, then bought stroller connectors to make it a double. (works really well). The umbrella strollers I bought at baby depot (burlington coat factory) . They are tall and my DH can push them no problem. They recline and have a nice canopy. I cannot remember the name but they were 29.99. We love them.

We are thinking of getting the Chicco. We tried it out in BRU and I liked it. I am having a hard time justifying the cost of a Maclaren.

Hey all,

Does anyone have a lightweight umbrella stroller that still reclines but folds up nice and tight so we can hold it easily on the buses? We'd love to hear name brands, where you got it, price, etc. I'm 5'7" and have to bend slightly. It measures 36" from the ground to the handles when it's set up ready to hold the toddler.

Thanks in advance!

I have a Mac Quest Mod and I think it measures 41". I'm 5'9" and DH is 6'3" and its very comfortable walking and our feet do not hit the wheels. I must warn you that the Macs are very tippy, have little storage space and have no parent/child cup tray which absolutely drives me mad. You can buy accessories but to fold it up they all have to come off. But they are lightweight and easy to fold if thats what you're looking for.

I've rented a stroller from abbf.com..I'm pretty sure its a Graco. Its heavier then the Mac but it has a large storage basket and parent/child cup tray. We have 3 kids so we have a little bit more to carry. As much as I try to cut back on what we bring there just isn't enough room in the Mac. The Mac's storage would probably be ok for one child...maybe two.

Good luck...I've found that after picking our resort the next most difficult decision is the stroller. Have fun at disney!

We bought a Inglesina swift and took it back and bought a zooper twist instead. We really love it. My husband is 6' and doesn't have to bend over. I paid $99 on Amazon for a 2006 model in teal. That was in late-Feb. or early March I believe. It came with a boot, rain cover and UV/bug net and reclines. I personally like it better than the MACs we tested out and I couldn't beat the price by far. The quality of the Zoopers has always impressed me. We will be taking it on our WDW trip in Sept. for our 2 yr old. I am always leary about buying something without testing it out first but I researched it on babybargins.com and elswewhere and couldn't be happier. We also have a Peg Perego Venezia and Bumbleride Rocket but never take those enormous things on WDW buses.
