Umbrella? Does it help?

Not sure where the OP is getting their weather forecast info. I just checked weather.com and it shows only the typical scattered thunderstorms for the next week.

An umbrella is essentially useless in those circumstances. These thunderstorms are accompanied by strong winds that will turn the umbrella inside out. Even if it doesn't, it will only protect your head and shoulders.

When I carried an umbrella, I always seemed to encounter the sideways rain and the inside out umbrella. I always have umbrellas in my car and have ponchos as well, but my Disney visits have migrated to Nov to March and I rarely encounter any or much rain.

I was also thinking about taking an umbrella for the same reason. How have other guests been when you use it? Do they seem understanding?
I have used an umbrella on sunny days at the parks (Disney World & Land) for multiple trips and have never had any issues with other guests. I've seen other people with umbrellas for shade too.
