came over from BC thread to say Hi. great pics, can't wait to stay at BC for the first time in Sept. We are surprising the kids who think we are staying at POP century again. :cool1:

Urgh! Can't believe you made it over before me! I blame planning.

But I'm here (at last). Sorry its taken me so long, have been busy planning away.

The Beach Club looks gorgeous and your room looked lovely, those beds look comfy :goodvibes

Loving the Flower & Garden Topiarys, some great pics :thumbsup2 and you did the velcro froggies again, v cool creations :goodvibes

Love how Kevin put your video game on Spanish

 No worries - I know how the planning craziness can get! And, thanks, we loved the topiaries and the frogs!

Kevin is quite the character. :rotfl: Wonder who he takes after?

Oh fine, I'll read along.....but I wont like it.

Maybe as you read more, we'll grow on you? :confused3 :confused3

We last left you with the video game we created in Innoventions, and will resume our story there, in Innoventions.

Next up on our journey through Innoventions was a stop at the Kim Possible mission fast pass station. We received an FP for about 30 minutes from the time we received it, and then proceeded out of Innoventions and over to the World Showcase.

We made a quick stop in Club Cool, where Kevy immediately went right for the Beverly – he was so quick we couldn’t even get the camera ready to capture his disgusted face, as you’ll see by the blurry picture below. Kevin’s verdict on the Beverly – almost as bad as Chino, basically a clear version of Chino. Chino is an Italian soda that we became obsessed with and collected many bottles of during a trip to Italy a few years ago. It is truly disgusting. Because of our obsession with Chino, Kevy said he was naturally drawn to the Italian soda in the Club Cool selections. :lmao:

It was straight through Mexico and onto Norway, where we picked up some FPs for Maelstrom and enjoyed our first foray into our fav store, the Fjording. Ahh, I can smell that incredibly strong perfume now.

After a bit of browsing, we headed out to receive our Kim Possible mission, which turned out to be for China – we had incorrectly thought that we would get Norway, but the Norway on our FP just meant we needed to pick up our little cellular there. Once we were briefed, we headed to China to complete our mission. It was okay, but got boring after a while. I was glad we checked it out, but that was the only Kim Possible mission we completed, and I doubt we’ll be doing another.

We then backtracked a bit to ride Maelstrom with our FPs and get Kevy a Norwegian beer in an awesome Norwegian souvenir cup. Kevy enjoyed his beverage as we strolled around the Showcase, with about 30 minutes to spare before our early dinner ADR at Tutto Italia. We spent some time sitting on a bench that has ropes/ signs around it just saying that its reserved for handicapped guests during Illuminations, but it’s available for others during other times. It was great, because others must have thought the ropes signified VIP area or something, and didn’t come anywhere near it. :rotfl:

After our stay in the VIP lounge, we waltzed over to Tutto.

We had a nice waitress and a visit from a manager to discuss Laura’s allergies and vegan-ness. Unfortunately, Italians don’t really seem to understand veganism, and the only option for Laura was spaghetti with tomato sauce. On the menu, a whole wheat pasta primavera was listed, which would have been great, but we were told it actually wasn’t being offered that night. Laura prefers not to eat regular pasta, so I asked if she could have whole wheat pasta in any other dish, and the manager said they didn’t have the whole wheat pasta, and couldn’t make the primavera with any other pasta. Okay. Laura’s pasta was fine, but certainly should not have cost us $22.

Kevin got lobster ravioli, which he had oddly been craving a few days earlier. He said they were good, but I thought the portion was very small for the price (somewhere between $25 and $30).

I got cavetelli with tomato sauce that had ground up pieces of sweet Italian sausage in it and parmesan cheese on top. This was delicious. I must find a recipe for it and replicate. It was a pretty big portion too, so I felt like this was the only dish we had that somewhat approached the high cost (also in the high $20 area). I was too full to finish, so Kevy had some and also agreed that it was great.

I really loved my meal, and would like to go back and get it again, but Tutto has such limited options for Laura that I doubt we’ll be back. It’s also very expensive. That fact does make it a good value if you’re on the dining plan, so if you’re on the dining plan, eat meat products, and don’t have food allergies, go to Tutto (and order what I got)!

After dinner, we were tired from having slept only a few hours the night before (before our early morning flight), so we headed back to the Beach Club (it was about 6 pm at this point).

Stalker pic of “George,” (on the right) one of our fav CMs and proprietor of the American Adventure, who is always there (every day, every time of day, for years) and performs all duties associated with the show. :lovestruc

Subscribing! I can't wait to get there! We're staying at the Villas in a studio- that's what was open for the discount we used. I thought about upgrading to a CL at the actual club but by the time I decided to all those rooms were booked for our travel dates. Aah - I guess I don't need those calories!

Keep up the fun TR - you sound like a fun group to tour with!

Even though we had finished dinner just a few minutes earlier, and I was too full for another bite, we of course stopped into the club lounge after exiting the elevators. And we of course enjoyed some appetizers – our first second dinner of the trip. :thumbsup2

I liked the cheeses and the vegetable spring rolls were pretty good. Good stuff so far, CL lounge!

Following second dinner, we proceeded to our awesome room and were delighted to find that our suitcases had been delivered. We lounged, enjoyed some pre-Oscar television (though were outraged that our TV did not offer us E!), and unpacked a bit.

Always ready for our next meal, we set out again for the lounge to enjoy some desserts when they became available at 8. The ABC Oscar pre-show was on the nice big TV in the lounge, so we watched it there while enjoying these lovely sweets.

Following our third meal in as many hours, we returned to our room, showered, got ready for bed, watched some Oscars, saw some Fantasmic fireworks in the distance and at a weird angle from our balcony, and were asleep by about 10. Perfect lazy night! :goodvibes

Next up: In which a friendship is broken.

What a horrid update in terms of content! Abhorred that Kim Possible game!

I didn't think you quite abhorred it! But I guess I didn't think it was that bad since I was clearly just taking pics the whole time, while you were actually performing the mission.

So exciting that you're going so soon! CL can indeed lead to lots of extra calories! :rotfl: The resort and that whole area are so great - I'm sure you'll love it! :goodvibes

Oh I just LOVE World Showcase! Great pictures! I just said to DH that on our next trip, we have to take pictures of the obvious things that we always see but never think to take pics of...like the FJORDING! How funny! I've been in that store a hundred times and never even looked at the name!

I know George! Do you listen to Lou Mongello's podcast? He had an interview with George a few years ago, so I purposely looked for him on our following trip. He brought us into the theatre for the last show of the night and he was pointing out all the flags and stuff on the way up the stairs, which I've never had a CM do before. Just a great CM!

Love all the pictures
I have heard mixed reviews about the Kim Possible missions--most say it gets boring after a while
SS about the dinner at Tutto's
Big prices with small portions but like you say a good value if you are on the dinning plan

Wonderful update! I just love the pics of all the topiaries! Now I've just added another time of year that I would like to try and visit!

Great update, loving all the pictures of WS, such a wonderful place, wish we were there now :cloud9:

Yummy looking cupcakes, would love to stay CL one day :goodvibes

You are making this incredibly difficult!! (In a good way) David and I are booked at the Poly right now for our August trip but are teetering between Beach Club and Boardwalk also!

I'm in :thumbsup2

We are dying to get into the BC. It was full for this trip :sad2:

You got some amazing pics!!!

Really enjoying your trip report, and love your pictures! I think it is so nice that you are traveling with your brother and sister. Looks like you had great weather too. We were there a few weeks earlier and it was cold. It was also our first trip to BC, and we loved it!:thumbsup2

I loved the pics of China! You definitely have an eye for photographing the unusual (the stairs, the statues):thumbsup2

I would love to go to WDW during this time of year - the topiaries are beautiful! A friend at work is going May 2-8th and it will be his little girls' first vist. I'm so excited for them!

Mmmmm...those pictures of your dinner at Tutto Italia are making me so hungry. I could really go for a good pasta dish right now. The cavetelli dish you got sounds amazing. :cloud9:

Great update! :thumbsup2

Loving your trip reports! I have traveled to the World with my sister and it's always a blast.

What brand are your sunglasses? Gucci? I've been looking for some squarish ones and I like yours.
