Now to begin the story of our trip… we arrived at the Beach Club after a relatively uneventful flight and Magical Express ride, but did not see a CM waiting for us at the front entrance or in the lobby. After entering the lobby, we went back out to the entrance area to ask the CM there what we should do about checking in for CL. The CM outside turned out to be Teena, a very helpful and lovely regular poster over in the BC/ YC thread on the resorts board.

I probably sounded like a dork telling her that I “knew” her from here on the DIS and had found her posts very helpful. But it was all good, and Teena brought us over to Alicia, the CM who brought us up to the club level floor (5th floor) and checked us in. We sat in chairs at one of the CMs’ desks in front of the entrance to the lounge to check in – we purchased park tickets, received maps, resort info, CL hours, etc. Although I’ve never found regular check-in to be onerous, I enjoyed this sitting down, private check-in thing, and thought I could get used to it. Upon entering our room, we were delighted to see that we had a view of Stormalong Bay and the lake. Unfortunately, we also had a handicapped bathroom, which meant the sinks were inside the bathroom (not outside the toilet/ shower area). Our one complaint about our Poly stay in September was that sinks were inside of the bathroom, and really hampered our ability to get ready, so we were torn over what to do – possibly give up the upgraded view, or deal with the sinks in the bathroom?

Well, Kevy took charge and went out to talk to the CM at the desk, who happily switched us to another room, telling Kevy we would love the view. When we arrived in the new room, we really loved it and the view (as you may have guessed from seeing the pics I previously posted)!
So far, we were absolutely thrilled with CL! We freshened up a bit in our room, and then swung by the CL lounge to check it out and grab a cookie (for me) before heading over to Epcot. The walk from the Beach Club to Epcot is such a delight! Entirely eliminating transportation (and all of the problems that can come with it) to one park was so amazing.

The weather was gorgeous – no humidity at all (notice our hair, especially in comparison to August/ September trips

) and warm enough to wear tee-shirts and flip flops with our jeans.
We walked through England and Canada to Future World, and enjoyed the Flower and Garden Festival creations that we saw along the way.
Kevy loves his Peter, and even asked for this pic!
