ultimate ticket ??

So, i live in minneapolis but all my family still live in Wales.
I was going to wdw with my 3 kids and mentioned it to mum and dad and its turned into a much bigger production

Dad is buying us our tickets - BONUS!!!!
so we have the 14 for the price of 7 ultimate ticket I think looking at the invoice he gave me.

We are only going to be there for 8 days....2 of which will be waterpark days

so the question is (kind of long winded - sorry) can I take these tickets and upgrade them to non-expiring at the parks???

Unfortunately not, the only upgrade you can do with Ultimate tickets is to Annual pass, even upgrading to those can be a struggle as I discovered last July. Some cast members say you can't, others say only to Premium AP, I also got about 4 or 5 different prices from different Guest services.
They don't know how to handle UK tickets but never heard of anyone upgrading to Non-expiry.

Ultimates are not Magic Your Way tickets.

there is no option available for those tickets since they already include hopper + waterparks (+ a few other perks like minigolf)

so you can't purchase a non expiration option.

The common "misconception" about ultimate tickets is that they are 14 (or 21) days tickets. They are not.
Ultimate tickets are "unlimited entry for a duration of 14 or 21 days", which is different from the "10 entries in the park over a period of 14 days" (case of the 10 days Magic Your Way ticket)

Thanks for the advice, it's good to know the difference between the magic your way and ultimate tickets.

Any idea when my Dad might get these tickets?
They are not linked to a hotel reservation so I'm hoping we can get them sent to us before we arrive as we will be at wdw a good 7 hours before the crew arrive.

And can I get these added to my kttw ticket or maybe even wristband?

You won't be able to get them added to your KKTW card and you need to exchange the vouchers at Will Call I've never been able to do it at the resort. I am hoping though that under the new system this will change and it will all be able to be aded to the band and done at check in. I've asked this very question in a new thread to see if anyone has any experience of doing this under the new system.
