We're considering breaking the bank and doing it. Crazy but you only live once. Is it worth it?
Have you done it? What was the lunch like? THNXOnly you can make that determination. It really comes down to how much it is worth it to avoid long lines.
Thank youIt's lunch at the whispering canyon. I haven't eaten there, I just did some research into the tour. Here's some info: http://wdpromedia.disney.go.com/med...services/disney-vip-tours-ultimate-series.pdf

S'good! The VIP Tour Services brochure is still showing lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe; but others have consistently reported having lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby, which makes much more sense being that time and transportation is already allotted for that park in the tour. I want to eat at Brown Derby during our vacation ...

I've done it, it's great!!! In our case, it was an insanely crowded week and my daughter twisted her ankle. We were leaving late on our last day so we stored our luggage and did this for our final day.
It was pirates, splash, btmr, haunted, 7dmt, space (both tracks), buzz and then we left backstage and over to hollywood where we entered backstage and jumped in RnR, then ToT then did lunch at brown derby (good pre-selected menu before you started). Then we did TSMM, Star Tours and then backstage jumped over to AK entering backstage at dinosaur where we rode that, then everest. We were ahead of schedule so multiple everest rides were offered but light rain made it annoying to ride so we skipped. From there they dropped you off where you needed to be (pick a park or TTC basically). We stayed because we left for our resort and then left for our ride home.
Really small group, we were only 8 people I think, not running around and comfortable pace. They shared a lot of really good knowledge but it was really nice discussions and not like a non-vip tour that is scripted. With the driving around and them sharing what they know they pointed out a lot of easy to overlook things like when you pass by the nursery for all hanging plants, where they test every material used so they know when it's time to repaint/replace. It works using the standard vip tour unlimited fastpass and it's timed for when the fastpass line would be the least wait so it's almost like walking onto everything.
you do need a park hopper ticket or similar (AP). It was like having your best friend guide you with all you can ride fastpasses and a van ready with backstage exit/enter to quickly get between parks. If your uncomfortable with any ride it's ok to not go. It's "disney thrills" as they put it.
We discuss if we want to do it again every time we book a trip. So far we haven't but I would.
THNX do you know what the odds are booking last minute for Aug.? One I'm still not sure if it would be worth it with 10 park days and 2 the price, OUCHIn July lunch was HBD for our tour. I had asked about which restaurant it would be prior to the tour and was told they don't know until right before because it depends on which restaurants have availability. It was ok. You were given a limited menu to choose from. We had a great time on the tour. CM were really great and we had a full tour that mixed and chatted and wanted to have fun. We got lucky and got to do EE twice. We would do it again.
