Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour - Disney Visa Offer

So I just received my Disney Visa newsletter via email and there appears to be a new perk this year for WDW and I hoping it will stay on as a perk for the next year. The perk is the ability to save 15% off a VIP tour and they have these Ultimate Day for Families Tour, Star Wars Weekend VIP tour and then this Day of Thrills VIP Tour. According to the WDW website for VIP tours it's $299 per person and you get a customized tour for 7 hours!!! And I'd save 15% so now I'm debating whether this might not make our trip to WDW even more special. We go to Disneyland all the time but WDW is an extra special trip to have to make. Has anyone done this tour yet? WDW website made it sound like it was a newer option.

This has been offered for the past year but I've not seen any reviews for it. We toyed with the idea of booking this for our family of 4 and we would also be entitled to a 15% discount as DVC members, but our trip this summer is for 10 days so it really makes no sense for us since we can take our time and experience all the listed attractions during the course of our stay. The tour would, however, be a valuable (though terribly expensive) option for those on a short visit and/or those who won't be visiting WDW again for a while.

Just FYI - it says tours START at $299. Last year the Star Wars one was $499 and I can't imagine prices going down. (Though the one you are interested I may be that price, I don't know). I was excited about them too until I saw the "start at."

Yeah that makes a difference! I didn't catch that! It IS terribly expensive. We will be going for a 10 day trip next year so like brought out in the previous response I'd probably get on all those rides eventually throughout the course of that trip. Plus it would take me all year to save for something like that. LOL!
