Ok So as I'm planning out our next disney trip and doing my obsessive research got me to thinking, what are everyone's top 3 Character meals(and for what meal of the day breakfast, dinner, etc?)? And it also got me thinking that if anyone could create their own character meal at the park, what characters would be there?(top 3..or 5 haha)Just thought this would be fun

So my top 3 that exist
1.Ohana-Character- Breakfast
2. Crystal Palace - Lunch
3. Tusker House- Breakfast (have never been to this one but have heard their are a lot of vegan options which works well for me, the rest of the fam eats meat)

top3 that I wish existed are(Yes my only child is a Boy , can you tell?)
1. A Neverland breakfast or dinner- oh who wouldnt love eating with Peter, Wendy, Hook, Smee and Tinkerbell?
2. Toy Story-I mean, they have a BuzzLightYear ride, a Toy Story ride, the characters have their own meet n greet building, the rides are always busy, it's time.
3. Star Wars- need I say more???
3.5 - And I know I said 3, but if they added a Handy Manny character to play n dine that would be sweet as well!
I'm so curious to see everyone elses lists!

We love Crystal palace any time.

Gold Crystal Palace
Silver 1900 Park Fare
Bronze Chef Mickey

I would like to see a villians character meet.

We've only done Crystal Palace, but I'm adding the ones we're trying on our upcoming trip.

1)Crystal Palace (any meal)
2)Akershus (breakfast)
3)Chef Mickey's (breakfast)

I am a picky eater, and it's hard to mess up breakfast food.

I too would like to see a villains meal, and maybe they could add Tiana to the princess meal at Akershus.

We've done Chef Mickeys, Ohana breakfast, 1900 Park Faire (breakfast and dinner), Garden Grill, etc.

Our favorite was LTT. Alas, the characters are gone, but we loved visiting with them during the Halloween season when they had their costumes on. So cute!

They need a pirate themed character meal! Or a pirate themed restaurant.

1. Cape May's Breakfast
2. Ohanas Breakfast
3. Tusker House Breakfast
that's my top three.

I have to agree with PPs'
A Peter Pan or Neverland character meal would be fantastic and definately a Toy Story character meal. Breakfast or Dinner would be fine with me, we would just go to which ever they offered :rotfl:
Star Wars too would be cool as previously mentioned and maybe a Nemo character meal!

But they need more boy orientated meals which the girls would love too, so Peter Pan, Toy Story, Nemo and Star Wars would be fantastic!

There used to be a villains meal at 1900 Park Fair awhile ago. I think there was a rotating list of characters, can't remember all of them but some were Queen of Hearts, Cruella, Captain Hook, the Governor from Pocahontas, Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters; maybe Ursula in the lobby? We LOVED it, but it scared many children, especially the Queen of Hearts and the Old Hag witch from Snow White (we call her Witchy-poo... we kinda like "the baddies'!). I wasn't surprised when they changed it to a Princess site, but we miss it!

My current favorites:

1. Mickey's Backyard BBQ - I think this meal has by far the best character interaction of any meal at WDW. And the price includes gratuities and beer! :drinking1 My DS5 (who will be one week away from 6 when we do a "boys only" trip in August) specifically asked if we could do this one again. It is a whole night of fun, not just an hour long meal where a character stops at your table for a photo op and then you don't see them again before the server drops the check.

2.1900 Park Fare - While loud, and somewhat rushed, I cannot help but appreciate Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella's antics. Cinderella and Prince Charming are almost secondary characters here, but it acutally is nice to have a Prince photo op for my son. The food is very good for a buffet, and we have made this a regular stop during our last 3 trips.

3. Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House - I really liked the theming of the restaurant and it is cool to see characters in their "not everyday" clothes at Disney. Especially for pictures. I enjoyed the food (although it is really hard to mess up breakfast), and the server giving us a FastPass for the Finding Nemo:The Musical was an added bonus I didn't know we would be getting.

My Top 3 "Wishlist"

1. Play 'N Dine at Hollywood and Vine with Phineas & Ferb (and Perry!) . Come on. It's time to get rid of Jo Jo already!

2. Pirates of the Carribean at El Pirata y el Perico Restaurant. This underachieving restaurant which is only open seasonally would be open year round if Captain Jack was there. Arrrrrrrrr. pirate:

3. Toy Story Dining at the Diamond Horseshoe Review - So many possibilities, with Toy Story, I can't believe Disney hasn't done anything with it.

I believe any one of the 3 listed above would address Disney's lack of serving a very important demographic: Boys!

Right now my girlfriend and myself thing the best three character meals are:

1. CP (we like the dinner)
2. Donald's Breakfast Safari
3. Garden Grill (the food isn't great but the character interaction makes up for it)

As for the character meals I would personally love to see

1. I LOVE the idea of a Neverland character meal
2. I would LOVE to see a Nottingham character meal with Robin Hood, Little John, Maid Marian and Prince John and maybe have on a rotation The Sheriff of Nottingham, Friar Tuck and Sir Hiss.... Robin Hood was always my favorite Disney movie.
3. A villain character meal would be AWESOME!

1. CRT- We had dinner. It was very good! Character interaction was very nice. Good floor show with dancing around the tables. I liked having the picture made with Cinderella as well.
2. Chef Mickey's - We had dinner. It was a good buffet. Love the interaction, the napkin dance is too cute!
3. Park Fare- Again, we did dinner. I liked this buffet the best. Good interaction, good food. I loved the characters dancing with the children.

We must have gone to Akershus at the wrong time. :( We went for dinner. Ugh. I didn't care for the food at all. There was not much on the menu that I liked and I'm not super picky. I will say it was nice to see so many princesses and the interaction was good.

I agree with everyone's wish list. I do think it would be nice to have some character meals geared for boys that are out of the Winnie the Pooh phase.

If I could create a character meal, it would definitely be a Star Wars themed meal! OMG!!! That would be SOOOO cool, and I think DS-10 would like it too! LOL

I like that idea of the Nottingham meal... my favorite Disney movie growing up was Robin Hood also.
I also like the Neverland and Toy Story ideas. Disney definitely needs to have something geared more for boys to counter the Princess attack.

Favorites:

1: CP breakfast especially if we get 8:05 so we have an empty park
2:Cape May Cafe
3:Chef Mickeys

Our top 3 character dining are:
1) Akershus for breakfast
2) Cape May Cafe Breakfast
3) Garden Grill Dinner

What I would love to see:
1) A Pixar character meal with all different Pixar characters (Flik, TS characters, Monsters Inc, and Nemo and Friends)
2) A pirate themed meal as long as Jack Sparrow is involved :cloud9:
3) A meal that involves Jiminy Cricket, Thumper and his girlfriend, and any other little critters from Disney.

Top 3 existing:
'Ohana breakfast
CRT lunch
Garden Grill Dinner

Ideal top 3
Characters from Peter Pan
Toy Story
Toy Story again!
