Really, have we gotten so cynical that we can't join in a celebration unless it's American?

Apparently we've been conditioned to only be interested in tragedy. Since there is nothing negative about the wedding, we're creating negativity.

They look happy and they seemed to be having fun. Who cares what they look like?

On the positive side,

I loved the bride's dress. She looked very classy and wonderful. it was a
lovely ceremony and hope all the best for the couple.

About Fergie's daughters, I think their choice of hats and dress was unfortunate. They are pretty girls and could have done way better with
the right fashion advice...

Of course, this is only my opinion for all it's worth.

I actually thought the two of them looked like Cinderella's step-sisters.

I think both of the Princesses are very pretty girls, especially the one with the unfortunate Bow Hat. But - she is getting a lot of coverage for wearing it, so maybe she is smarter than we are giving her credit for.

I did not get up early to watch the wedding, but did record it and ran through all the commentary and speculation and watched the arrivals, the ceremony and the kiss.

As for the tiara, one of the things I heard along the way is that the tiara is part of the Crown Jewels and can't be given away - they can be loaned - and loaned indefinitely, but ultimately they belong to the "Crown", and I assume that the "Crown" in this case is the Queen, and will someday, presumably be Charles.

In enoyed watching the Princes/brothers enter the Abby and just kind of casually visit with some of the guests, and love Prince Harry's personality of not taking any of it overly seriously, but knowing when to plug in and act "royal". But I guess he doesn't have as much pressure on him since William is the heir and now that he is married, will presumably be eventually working on presenting a new 3rd in line.
