Anything special going on at Epcot-United Kingdom today to celebrate the wedding?

The United Kingdom Pavillion will be decorated in celebration of the Royal Wedding.

Additionally, guests dining at Rose and Crown Pub & Dining Room will receive UK flag stickers and may participate in Royal Wedding trivia. Rose and Crown will surprise guests with a small complimentary tasting of the "royal wedding cake" and a (2oz) toast of champagne as a magical moment, that will be done during lunch and dinner.

Because it's fun. See a really strange thing has happen over the last 200 years (so it's really not all that "new") the two countries started to get along and *gasp* now even consider themselves the closets of allies. I think those two pesky world wars kind of helped smooth things over since the Revolution.

Really, have we gotten so cynical that we can't join in a celebration unless it's American?

I think it makes perfect sense to have some sort of celebration at the UK pavillion. I'd head over and lift a pint if I were there.

No, my apologies. It seems like there has been so much bashing of the royal wedding. Every thing from "its a waste of money" to "why so much media coverage" and I can't figure out why so many people are mad because of a wedding celebration.

I really do want to ask the world "have we become so use to hearing bad news that we can't enjoy some good news"?

I with you 100%. I got up at 5am to watch on BBCA and thought it was a beautiful ceremony. It was so nice to see something positive on TV!

It is also great that UK in EPCOT did something special to commemorate today. I was wondering if they would

I think it's absolutely lovely! Ha ha. I didn't get up to watch it, but I've been checking out the pictures online. Kate looks absolutely stunning!! I hope they make a replica of her tiara. Would love to wear that for my wedding! Ha ha.
