My DW Theresly has just finished her first ever scrapbook.

I have scanned in the pages and you can have a look at them here www.disney.2ya.com

As this is her first ever book shes would like to know if there are any improvements she can make to her technique for future books.

This is a link to the post in the Scrapbooking forum Click here

Hi Simon

Thanks for posting - I've just had another look! :)

I think Theresly's style is really nice and she has the balance of photo's on each page worked out well.

I think my style has developed over the short period that I have been scrapbooking, I tend to like embellishements and 'lumpy' stuff LOL.

I hope your wife will join in on our scrapbooking posts here on the CB - I also hope that we can get another swap going soon so she would be welcome to join in with that. Probably once everyone's kiddies are settled back in school - but it would be great if she would care to join us :)

She says she would love to when the kids are back at school.

Although she says she feels a bit amateur at scrapping at the moment.

She would like to have a go at some of the embelishments. But first she wants me to teach her how to do the fonts etc on the computer.

Thats great Simon - but please tell Theresly that her Album certainly doesnt look like the work of an Amateur to me.

Has she been looking at the layouts that get posted onto the Scrapbooking sites daily? Check out The Gallery at Two Peas in a Bucket - there is some fantastic inspiration there, but it also give us newbies an idea of how to develop our style :)

I really like her style - love those stickers where did you get them? Just one thought when journalling I try to include a date as I don't know about you but I soon forget when I did particular things or for that matter where photos were taken and in the case of old photos who people are. THT

As Janice says your style seems to develop the more layouts you see and do. I've only been scrapping for 5 months and feel very amateurish compared with others but I always think that we were all beginners once.

I'm definately up for another swap once the children are back at school and perhaps we could arrange a DIS scrappers crop sometime. Then we can talk about our two passions without people thinking we're mad:rolleyes:

Thanks for your encouraging input. Would like to join uk scrappers. Love to see any Of your layouts.

Hi Theresly - welcome to the UKDis and also the UKScrappers :)

I have my layouts posted here, and my cards posted here

I dont have any Disney ones completed yet - I have tons to catch up on before we even ventured to WDW! :)

But..... my millennium trip is calling out to me, so maybe I'll make a start on those soon.

Hi
I'm waiting for my DS to put my layouts on the family website but unfortunately mums needs come after the maintenance of his own website. He is so pleased he got a mention in PCgamer magazine this month and says with the extra hits I'll just have to wait even longer! One day perhaps.

Christine - why dont you save them in the Epson site that I have used. It's free and I dont think there is a limit to how much you have there at the moment.

Check it out: http://photo.epson.com/

Well done Theresly!! Thank you for posting them, i love the simple style - nothing wrong with that!!

I always go for the Animal Kingdom pages, I love them!!

All scrappers in the UK are UK scrappers, please join in!!:bounce:
