I have booked okw with free ddp. When I try to make adrs by phone the cast member can't find my reservation on the US system. On the one occasion they did, I was told I do not have free ddp. When I checked with the UK system, I do have free ddp. Any views on what is happening? Is it due to their computer probs?:confused3

do you have your US resort confirmation number ?
it's a 12 digits number or a 3 letters + 5 digits number

if you don't, give WDTC-UK a call or send an email to request that number

On the "free DDP" issue, I guess you might be misunderstood.

Did the CM tell you that you didn't have "free DDP" or that you didn't have DDP at all ?
The notion of "free" is tied to your UK reservation since the price of the DDP is already taken off your quote.
As far as the US system is concerned, it's about you having the DDP or not. They have no concern as to how much you actually paid for it.

I'd ring whoever you booked with.

I booked with complete orlando and every cm i've spoken to in the last week has easily found my booking from my details or the 12 digit ref number.

They could give me the dates of stay, which dining plan we have booked etc.

The prob with the uk bookings has been to do with online adr's and needing a different ref number. Not read of anyone having probs when they have called to make adr's.

Hi we are going with virgin, I had to request a 12 digit code to work with booking with my DDR. However it's still v tempremenal, I have to access through the american site as the uk one still says I don't have one,it will always try to book you through the Uk site!!! Ask your travel agent and they should sort you out with the right autho no!! Good luck!

I booked through Disney uk and emailed them for my 12 digit number for making ADRs. Got it from them in a couple of days.

Have you got it to work and link your ADR's to your hotel reservation? Many of us can't this year, no problems in past but this year they have told us the 12 digit will not work, we need a 3 letters + 5 digits number which we can't get.

Thank you for your replies everyone. I have been given three ref numbers. A 6 digit UK ref which is what I got when I booked directly through Disney. When I hit problems with the US ADR cast member, she searched by my name and gave me a 12 digit ref, booked some ADRs for me and told me to ring the UK site to get the DDP linked. I did this and they gave me a 3 letter plus 5 digit ref. None of these allow me to link my ressie with the DDP.

Still, at least I'm off to WDW in Oct.......:banana::banana:

we booked our ADRs today. Can get our package reservation up on the US site but when you try to book your ADRs on the US site is throws you back to the UK site which of course won't acknowledge my reference number.

Phoned the UK number and they booked all my ADRs (luckily I got everything I wanted) when I didn't have a USA phone number the CM said no problem, however, I need to know what they entered to retrieve my reservations and link them up so that I can print up my reservations. Have emailed WDW to find out what they have entered.

Fingers crossed all will be ok but what happened to the easy system we used the last three trips.

Workaround :

get your 12 digits number from WDTC-UK (request by mail)

once you have this number, log on to your US Disney website

click on retrieve reservation

it will prompt for your hotel ressie number
check "Package / Room Reservation"
choose "through disney direct" on the left side menu
enter your Resort Confirmation Number (12 digit)

once you validate, your accomodation ressie will be displayed
you'll see your hotel picture on the left, and on the right, just under your hotel's name, you'll find your 3 letters + 5 digits number

If you have the 3 letter plus 5 digit ref you should be able to do it but its tricky, you have to get onto the US side of the Disney site, it probably keeps returning you to the UK site. Many people struggle but it is possible when you know whow.

at the very bottom of the page on the left, there is a dropdown menu that reads "select an international version"
hover the mouse over that menu and select "USA English"
I'm never thrown back to the uk site this way

Only if you book thru Disney direct as far as I know, I just checked again, no 3+5, I discussed it with Complete Orlando months ago they said only 12 digit ref with their bookings so when I rang Disney to make my ADR's I asked for the 3+5, they said the same, not available on booking via an agent.

Just almost gave up, tried about 10-12 times before it eventually accepted me.

I think I just posted on a duplicate thread...

Anyway, for some reason, even going through the above procedure, I can no longer access my booking through the uk WDW site. We booked through virgin, and it's just stopped working. Frustrating...

I have managed to get it to work. In case it's useful I'll detail the steps I took:
Note: I booked online through WDTC UK. Everything I did online was direct from the UK site - no forcing other international versions.

- I had a 6 digit confirmation number, which I knew would not work for dining.
- I called the UK number, 0800 16 90 730, and asked for the correct number to use to link my reservation with the dining system. I was asked a couple of questions about my booking, then was given a 3-letter, 5-digit code, and was assured this was what I needed. (This was actually the second time I called as the first time the CM told me there were system problems and couldn't find the code - so if you're not successful, keep calling)
- I was unable to use this code to access my reservations from the My Reservations page, but, as it turns out, this didn't matter.
- On the Disney Dining page there is a link Use my dining plan to book pre-paid reservations. You need a Disneyworld.com account. If you are aren't already signed in you are taken to the sign in/create account page. Once signed in you are taken to the next step.
- You should have arrived at a page that says "Link Your Walt Disney World Reservation"
Then it asks for Confirmation Number, Last Name and Arrival Date. It won't let you enter an arrival date beyond 180 days, so you can't check this before then.
- Hopefully you will get a message saying the dining plan is linked, and will be able to book ADRs online out to 10 days beyond your arrival date.

Clearly I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, but my 180 day window opened a couple of days ago, and using my 3-5 code and the above steps I was successful.

Sadly that doesnt' work unless you have booked direct. Not a big deal but in previous years we could use our number to book online with WDW even after booking with Virgin, this year had to return to the old phone booking routine.

Indeed - the OP didn't mention who he booked with, but did say he got a 3+5 code, so thought my experience might help :goodvibes

Never got it to link. Have got the 12 digit number, the 3 letter 5 digit number and the 6 digit one. It's a nightmare. Got the 3 letter one after retrieving my reservation on the American website. Ended up phoning to make my reservations. Made what should have been a simple process complicated.

Oh dear all this worries me for our trip. I've got two months yet before my window but I can only find a 6 number reference or an 8 number reference. I booked direct with disney

If you booked direct with Disney ring them or email and ask for your 3-letter+ 5-digit code, you should be OK then.
