UK newbie says hi

Hello! My name is sam and I am brand new to this site. My fiance Marc and I are getting married towards the end of the year and would welcome any advice or tips you may have for us.

Your getting married a couple of days before me, my wedding is on the 5th December!

Thats exactly how i found this site, i started posting on the Dibb early last year but stopped after little while. I found this board through a link & spent nearly a year just logging on reading everyones posts. I think it makes such a diff being able to communicate to people based in other countries rather than just Uk as the range of ideas are that bit more varied. Decided little while a go its my time to join, i love it here . Everyone here has fantastic ideas,some which i would never of thought were possible. Your definatly in the best place for ideas, its great as a lot of members have already experienced Disney weddings so can offer fantastic tips & advice. I feel so much more confident about booking & coming up with ideas for my wedding especially since becoming a member.

We have quite a bit in place. We're just about sorted outfit wise. Cake and flowers have been chosen along with the music. We're hoping to have Lets Stay Together as our first dance song but we haven't had any response from our co-ordinator for two weeks now. We'd also like to book the MK photo package and the video.
Most of our guests have booked now. About 12 of us will be there in total.

I have sent you a PM regarding your coordinator, Matthew is no longer coordinating and if you have been waiting for 2 weeks i would ring Disney. I actually had to find this information off a fellow disboarder, i was very angry that Disney had not bothered to let me know.
You sound very organised, we are getting married at the Wedding Pavilion on 1st November, we have only just handed in our planning kit, we could not decided upon anything - too many options!

I'm another uk bride not far from u, nr Cambridge, & I have found that disney is very poor in keeping in-touch with brides outside of the US. Do u have an email for ur coordinator? As i have found this worked best for me.

There is loads of great ppl here on the dis who will be able to help you out with so many questions or if u just wish to vent. Honestly this place is a godsend to a disney bride to be.
Another gr8 site is disneymooners i found this is the most useful for wanting honest opinions about coordinators or vendors as its a private forum & no risk of them seeing what u write.

Your wedding is way before mine so im looking fwd to hearing all about ur plans

I have found it the opposite! I have found that my coordinator has been really good at keeping in touch with me, i know i am a custom wedding now but even before when i was an intimate - they would phone me within a day or so and same with email.

To be honest i think its the same with everything in that it depends on who you get etc. I also think that Disney are not as good at communincating with Intimate Brides as they are Custom. I dont think its a matter of whether you are a UK bride or USA.
