I wonder what this means for those who wish to stay at a value resort. No free dining at all?

The UK free dine is totally differant from US free dine. Dont try to compare the two

Does anyone think they will offer something similar for the US? I would love the ultimate hopper for 14 days instead of a 10 day base ticket. I would love to book this offer. Does anyone know what the deal is? Ticket upgrade plus free dining. Can't get better than that.:goodvibes

I think the 14 day hopper is only offered to the UK people b/c they usually stay for longer durations...I dunno though! :goodvibes

UK gets 14 and 21 day tickets because they stay longer. US can only get 10 day, after that its more economical to get an AP. And quit worrying about the dining, it will be the plus dining at any resort you stay at

Im in the UK and have to agree with the above!

UK free dining, is, to the Disney trained eye  , a RIP OFF!!!!

First, you HAVE to buy the 14 day ticket at £180 (about $350).....no use if you are an AP holder. And as quite rightly stated by the above poster, for 2 trips, the AP is better value.
Also to add, the 14 day ticket CANNOT be added to or altered in any way, so no "non-expiry" or "adding extra days"

Value rooms are NEVER included in UK free dining, only moderates and above.....and you would be paying rack rate plus, plus, plus !!!!

Hang on in there for US free dining, it WILL happen AND will be MUCH better value!! :) :) :) :)

Well you both make me feel better. I priced out the package I want US and it is about $3k more than the UK package. I can't afford either at this point.:rotfl: I just like to book in advance instead of at the last minute. I guess these offers will wait until April again for the US.

Just curious if UK is able to book the US offer or do they have to book the UK free dining offer?

People in the UK can book the US offer and the UK offer. Guess its a bit unfair that people in the US can't book the UK offer. I have just booked 14 nights in a 1 bed at SSR for 3 of us from10th August next year. Free dining and 14 day Disney tickets for £2200. Thats a great deal. 44% off the room at SSR, plus you don't usually get free dining that early in the US. I usually book directly with Disney in the US and this is the first time I have ever seen a better offer in the UK. 1 downside, you have to pay a £150 deposit which is non refundable if you cancel, unlike in the US.Also have to pay £25 every time you make an amendment, again in the US this doesn't cost anything.

Wow! I would love to book SSR for 44% off plus free dining!!! Are you sure we can't book that?! That would be about 168.00 a night, regularly 300.00. That is an unbelievable deal!

If you go onto disneyworld.co.uk you will see the offer on the front page. You could always try. Remember, you also have to buy theme park tickets, minimum 7 day (but they are doing 7 days for price of 14). Anyway, you should see what happens if you try to book, it might let you. Also, don't forget, you cant get deposit back if you cancel.

I was also wondering if we could book the UK offer. I read through all the fine print and the problems are fees for changes, and if you don't have flights yet it may be a problem to coordinate. Also, the cancellation fee. I did not read anything that said we, in the US could not book it though. Let us know how it works out if you decide to try.

I just priced out a trip staying at OKW. Even with the discount we are looking at over $300 per night because I have a family of 5. Nice discount but still too rich for my blood. Hopefully something will come our way when we get closer. Good luck to anyone looking to book.
