UK Firefighter Discount???

Hi Folks,
too late for this holiday as it's all bought & paid for! But reading a thread on the UK site that UK Nurses get the Nurse discount rate at WDW ? I would have thought that the whole point of the discount rate would have been a reward for US Nurses? Can I then take it that as a Firefighter & a government employee (albeit the UK government!!) that in future I would be eligible for a discount rate?

to my knowledge there is no firefighters discount. (on rooms or tickets) my DH is a police officer (may or may not qualify as a local government employee) and a firefighter and i have looked into it. If i am proven wrong by someone else here who is in the know....i would be very pleased!

i know there is some sort of a nurses discount and i think a teachers discount as well. (gotta be an actual teacher though, not just an employee at an education institution - or else i would qualify for that one as i work in a medical school.)
