Question for UK citizens who have cruised on Disney Cruise Lines since 2010.

I asked Disney Cruise Lines what a UK Citizen needs to board the Cruise Ship for documents, as of 2011.
I already understand the "ESTA" requirement and visa waiver process from previous flights from the UK to the USA.

I also know that the UK is a visa waiver partner with regards to the Bahamas and the United States, so a Visa is not required,
only to fill out an online ESTA Visa Waiver Application for entrance into the USA..

My question involves what exactly is the documents needed at the Disney Terminal Boarding Process.

Here is the reply from Disney today:

A valid, unexpired passport and green I-94 form, also known as the Visa
Waiver Arrival-Departure Form.

NOTE: Effective January 12, 2009, in addition to a valid passport, nationals or citizens of visa-waiver countries will be required to
complete an Electronic Travel Authorization application and receive
authorization for entry into the United States prior to boarding a
U.S.-bound airplane or vessel.

Is the I-94W, Visa Waiver, Green Form, something still stapled into the passport? Do they still staple the "green" piece of paper in the passport now that it is 2011?

What does Disney actually expect to see at the Florida Port to board the ship, a UK passport and what else in 2011?

Or does Disney just need the Online ESTA VISA WAIVER APPROVED APPLICATON number in addition to the passport?
Is it recommended to bring a paper print out of the Online ESTA VISA WAIVER APPROVED form?

Does the Bahamas Port need anything like the USA ESTA process, or is simply a passport enough for them?

Was there anything special to show USA officials when re-entering Florida on the final end of the cruise besides the passport and I-94W ?

Thanks for all your help.

Additional Information.

I have also read that the I-94W form has been phased out in 2010 supposedly for the Visa Waiver Program. (It is still used for Canadian and Mexican "land" visitors to the USA).

It appears that the Passport Stamp might be used to reflect the entry and exit information in the USA instead?

I also noted on the Celebrity cruise site, that they can use the Online ESTA APPROVED form information instead of the old Green I-94W Visa Waiver Form.

I realize a Passport of course is still required as well.

Again for UK Visitors, any Information on what forms you presented to Disney Cruise Lines at the Florida Port to board in late 2010 or 2011 would be appreciated, as well as forms needed to regain entry back into the USA at the end of your Cruise.

When we last went in March 2010 we had to do the ESTA approval thing beforehand, then on the plane we were given the green waiver form as well. At passport control at the airport the green part was stapled into the passport. We did not show anything to do with ESTA but obviously they had a record of us completing it. When we got to the port they just looked at the passport, that was it. Coming off the ship our passport was checked again and the guy told us to makesure we handed the green part in at the airport.
It was all really simple, so long as you do the ESTA thing more than 72 hours beforehand there is nothing else to worry about. Any other forms are given either on the plane or at the airport. As most of the cruises are closed loop I think Disney is only concerned that you have a passport everything else is taken care of at the airport.

The green waiver form has ended and is now fully replaced by the ESTA. When flying to the US UK citizens need to do the ESTA beforehand and fill in the blue/white customs form for arrival.

All you need to board the ship is your passport (with unexpired entry stamp) and signed cruise docs.

At the end of the cruise they will give you the required customs form. You don't need to do anything to your ESTA while on the ship as a closed loop cruise counts as part of the same visit to the US (according to the very nice US immigration officer i met recently).

A "BIG" Thank you for your responses.

Disney's official reply was so confusing, because they still referred to the I-94W, and then mentioned more information about the ESTA starting on a certain date. I guess for Overseas Visa Waiver Program Purposes only, the I-94W (green thing) is a thing of the past.

Okay for 2011 a UK citizen needs:

UK Passport with Unexpired Stamp, Approved ESTA Printout, Signed Cruise Documents (and Disney Gift Cards). Of course we will also have the return flight tickets with us.

That is easy !

Thank You Again,

Phil
