Ok I Am Going For 8 Days In October And 3 Days During Thanksgiving And I Cannot Get Any Discounts!!!! All The Codes Are Used??? I Didnt Know They Have A Limit! Uhhhhhh And It's Not Like I Waited!!! I Have Been Calling Everyday For 3 Codes And None Are Good!!!! So Aggrevated And Disney Of Coure Could Care Less. Someone Behind You Nomatter What! I E-mailed Them And They Could Care Less...... Uhhhhh

Only a limited number of rooms/packages/etc are assigned to any code. Some properties never got any rooms made available under the codes that were issued at all, or only a few rooms in a few room classes, and several filled up within an hour or so of the codes being released. and as codes are only issued to fill spaces that they are having trouble filling, that there's nothing available under a code for Thanksgiving is no surprise, really.

I hope you have better luck getting a discount on your next trip! :goodvibes

I'm sorry you will have to pay more than you had hoped. However, it's kind of late to expect to book a trip AND get a discount (especially at Thanksgiving). Plus, the discounts should be seen as a "treat", and not as something to be automatically expected.

Good luck finding something :). Maybe you could Priceline an offsite place and get something nice.

Sorry it hasn't panned out for you,However the fact is they do only have a limited amount of rooms set aside for each code. And also they do have blackout dates(which would most likely include Thanksgiving) What resorts did you try to get into? You may be able to get a discount at a different resort. Also if you're a AAA memeber you could get a discount on room rates.

Discounts are offered to fill empty rooms. If they don't need to fill rooms, they don't need to offer discounts. It isn't an entitlement and Disney hasn't done anything wrong.

It's a practice called "yield management." A certain number of rooms are set aside at certain prices -- when those rooms are taken, the price generally increases. As another poster has kindly pointed out, Disney doesn't need to discount rooms during busy times -- the rooms sell themselves, at any rate.

I doubt if any of the discount promotions covered Thanksgiving. They all had blackout dates. The Seasons of Dreams package deal covered October but it just ended on Sept 30th, they had lots of availability too. Sorry, not meaning to make you feel worse, but I checked it regularly and honestly, right up to the last day they had availability for the end of Oct (not sure about the rest).

What about AAA? Are you a member? It's worth checking www.aaa.com to see if there's anything left. It might even be worth your while to join up if they still have discounts available (it's unlikely at this point though).

Yes, I was able to book on September 29th with the dining package as well (first time). Of course, the payment in full was due the next day, but we paid $1086 for both of us for 6days/5nights, tickets and dining. We were really very fortunate. You really just need to check back for discounts as often as possible and take advantage of them. So as of the 29th, there were still codes available. I couldn't even remember the code, but the CM was nice enough to look it up for me. We got this for November 10-15th. I hope you get a discount for your next trip! :)

That is not entirely true about Thanksgiving. When the first round of packages came out there was NOTHING available on the monorail for any of my dates of 11/18 - 11/25. When room only came out I was able to use that code for a GV room at the Poly. Then the second round of package deals came out and I WAS able to use the code for the package again GV Poly.

The OP needs to keep calling and maybe something will open up.
