What the HECK is the problem here? It sounds like some of you are talking about electing moderators like you're voting for the homecoming queen or something. That's not what they're here for, and that's not how it works.

There is a "report this post" button on every post on this forum. If you have a problem with a post, click that button. The problem you're reporting will be sent to the moderators listed for this forum, INCLUDING the Dis Moderator Team. This team consists of a number of adult moderators, including several webmasters.

So there shouldn't be a problem in contacting a moderator- that's how you do it.

Kathy, I've been telling you the problem since before Christmas. You always say "something will happen" or "we're discussing it". But nothing has happened.

There are problems in contacting some moderators (no names).

I've started thread after thread asking for moderators, and I know that a thread was started in the modforum asking for our moderators. I've PMed EVERY webmaster, and about half of the moderators.

Thats the problem.

We've had problems here. Plain and simple. Everybody seems to be way uptight, and we seem to be nit-picking at everybody. Someone says something, someone gets offended and starts an arguement. Heck we've had people make alters just to insult other posters.

As for the mod thing, several of us just think the board could use another mod who is a bit more active than the other ones. Not that I'm saying Travis and Tara are terrible mods, but I think we could use someone who views more threads and can close things when they get out of hand faster than Travis and Tara seem to be doing.

I just want things to go back to the way they were when people wern't at each other's throats.

My dozens and dozens of PMs weren't an attempt?

I know half of the ones to WMs have still NOT been read. Those were sent in November. Then out of the half that were read, I got two responses. I go at it again, I get one. I go at it again, and I don't get any. I move on to moderators. Two respond, and one makes a thread.

I've poured two years of my life into this forum, this one in particular, and I'm appalled at the state its fallen to. I've not been the best I could be, I'm the first do admit that. But I know that MANY posters have TRIED to contact the WMs, and mods, and I'm one of the few who were answered.

Kathy, we're trying. We're not perfect, I'll admit that, but we're trying. You can't say that we're not.

Are you serious. You all basically saying that the mods are bad at there job and we need new ones. Maybe you weren't blatanly saying it, but it was there...

Like you didn't jump on the bandwagon on all the other threads about the need for another mod. Once the webmasters get involved you start to side with them.

MuNkY, you are saying that the thread that was closed was making progress? That is so not the way to do it. That thread was not "progress" but rather a way to "yell" and "flame" at those who don't do their jobs. That thread was getting people to admit to poor moderation...it was solving nothing whatsoever. It shouldn't have been started in the first place. Like WebmasterKathy just said, there are other ways to go about solving issues like that...Report. Don't start a thread that will inevitably turn into what it did.

Moderators have the final say. I believe that if anyone has a problem with a decision made by a moderator or webmaster, don't post about it so that others can grab their torches and join in the "Arg! This is stupid! That thread was closed! Arg!" I think the better thing and more responsible thing is to take it up with someone holding a level of authority on the boards. As the guidelines state, "Any discussion about a moderating decision that takes place on the boards could result in an infraction".

shelby, i have respect for you its just sometime, i think you think you own the boards. well, the TB anyways. it always seemes like when there is a fight, you or/and mike are ALWAYS involved. now i respect the fact that you are trying to help but i feel you are sometimes overdoing it. and i have kept this inside me along time but i hate when i argue with you or mike because you two ALWAYS gang up on a person and tear them limb from limb. it makes me feel like crap when i argue with you two because i will never win because its ALWAYS two against one. me being the one. i finally got that done and over with. *takes one BIG breath*

Do you have some sort of reading comprehension problem? Seriously. I've said MANY times, that I have been a bit of a problem in starting disputes. You're not telling anyone anything new. Now you're just attacking me. I have admitted that I have started some things, but I don't start everything. You can't blame all of this on me, no matter how good it makes you feel about everything else.

I'm the one that gets singled out on the TB. Thats fine by me. Most of you just fly under the radar, but I never have and I never will. I'm the one thats bending over backwards trying to get mods. I've not seen ONE person do half of what I've been trying to do.

But yeah, go ahead, attack me. Thats fine.

Mike never said to get rid of Tara and Travis. Mike asked for a 3rd mod. You know, 3rd, as in after first(travis) and second(tara).

I love how you're agreeing with every word I say until mods or wms show up.Then you just turn around and attack me, and mike. I never said to get rid of tara and travis, and I've not seen anyone say that yet. Frankly, I don't care one way or the other about it anymore.

I've made some personal attacks before, but I'm the first to apologize. I'm the first to offer to take it off the boards to keep it from getting too personal here. Anyone remember the apology threads I've made? I've not seen too many of you doing that. I've not seen the people who really need to, do that.

I keep what I think about most of you to myself. Because, frankly, you don't need to know. I could say a lot right now, that I've not already said, but I'll take the higher road.

I've been on this forum for more than 2 years. I've made thousands and thousands of posts HERE. But none of that matters. It doesn't matter how much I've helped almost every one of you. It doesn't matter all of the friends I've made here. As soon as you need a scape goat, you come after me and mike. Two main posters who will put their neck on the line to get something done here.

I didn't say it was all her fault. I have taken responsibility for stuff. I'm not trying to pin point them now. Iv'e thought it for a long time, I just needed to build up the courage...
