i know shelby (and maybe some others) can pretty much say anything to anyone's face. if you dont' know that about them, you should probably study up before you get offended on what they say.

That's one thing I love about this other board I post on. There are posters who you just DON'T pick a fight with, because of the sheer fact that they are them.

Now, I want someone who has a problem with me to be comfortable enough with me to be able to say "I don't like this". Obviously, this girl didn't feel comfortable enough to do that with me.

Okay, im comfortable enough with myself and my beiliefs and if i knew you in person and you were like this in person as well, i would deffinately say this to your face.
shelby and Mike, do you live in the real world? or are you just completely glued to your computer screens and have this fantasy world playing through your heads?
because yes, people get offended on this board, but people get even more offended in the real world. We can't even say Merry Christmas anymore, and you are concerned with people getting offended about as you say "little things". it's not our fault we get offended, its societies fault. Society has brainwashed everyone, if there was no society everything would be peachy, and like we were 5 years old again when the worst thing that offended us was getting woken up from our naps. it's not our fault if we get offended, i know you get offended too. so if you are going to get mad, get mad at society not the people living by society. so I suggest you go outside into the real world and see how many people get offended and how easily, because i can assure you it is like 10 times worse.
I'm sorry for being so harsh, i know you are nice people, but some of your threads are getting on my nerves. (if you don't understand the whole society thing, i suggest you read The Great Gatsby.)

When I talk, especially to people who have become my friends on the Dis, I am "pretending" to be talking to them face-to-face... I really would like to be treated that way, kindly, and why would you be rude because even though your not right there with them the reciever is still getting the messages and that's why i try to be as kind as i would be face to face

everything that was said on the other board was not offensive to me. i believe in god but i use god or jesus in everyday life. i cant believe though that somebody took offense to it so it got closed. i actually thought that that thread was going to be the turning point. i thought it was going to help "rebuild" the TB but i guess not...........

we are far from any sort of "rebuilding" process when a thread is shut down for trying to come to terms with issues without explanation. that just seems childish to me.

just because someone took offense to one little thing said, doesnt mean we should completely ignore the issue. you cant please everyone, so whats the use in trying. i could say cardboard box and get a "OMG!!11 my aunts sisters cousins bestfriends boyfriends daughters son-in-laws grandpas cat died that way! i hate yooouu!!!11" and here we go again.

not everyone is going to think like you, act like you, talk like you, and they sure as heck aren't you. accept each other's differences and view points and learn not to shove yours down their throat. i may just be preaching to the choir here, but seriously, this crap is getting old. it comes up every time someone gets their feathers ruffled over something stupid.
