Uh-oh!!

We leave Saturday, and DNiece was sent home from school today with a fever and flu-like symptoms. We would only be out her airfare, but she would be absolutely CRUSHED if she didn't get to go to Disney with us. Send out good thoughts that it's just a 24-hour bug!!! Her fever broke early this evening, and they are keeping her home tomorrow from school and soccer. We fly out at 7:20 on Saturday morning, so hopefully she's feeling better by tomorrow night.

Hopefully it's just a 24 hour thing; if her fever stays down w/o tylenol, etc. through tonight, it's probably a good indicator that Saturday's still a go.

That's the hope!!! Even sadder, if she doesn't get to go, my grandparents took our luggage down and are already in Florida, so all of her princess dresses and her "Mickey gifts" will get to make the trip. DS also got his postcard from a friend of ours who is there now today, so she probably got hers, too.

I told them to keep her in bed and hydrated, lots of vitamin c, etc. Fingers crossed!!

we just got back on Monday night from Disney and my 10 yo dd was sick and the doctor said she has the flu... she had a fever, sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, and was achey.. kept her home tues and wed and she went back to school yesterday and was fine except for her throat was dry, and stuffy nose. IMO as long as she seems to be getting better she should be fine to go. This is my dd's 2nd time getting this exact thing in 2 months so this flu thing IMO is not too severe and lets hope it stays that way.... make sure you bring a container of Purell with you you'll need it we used it alot especially getting off the rides (all the germs yuck)

Yes! We have about six bottles of sanitizer between all of us. Haha!!

Well, her fever never came back, and she even felt well enough to go to school this morning. I have the day off (I work at her school), but I have to take some paperwork in, so I'm going to check on her. Hopefully she just got overheated/tired yesterday. Less than 24 hours to go!!
