Uh oh...forgot to bank my points!!!

I was supposed to bank our remaining points by yesterday, and I forgot!

I knew I should have done it when I made our current reservation. But we're waitlisted for other resorts (made the reservation in February), and DH suggested we wait a while in case any of the waitlisted resorts became available and we need more points (we'd rather not borrow from next year). I was thinking at the time that I should check to see if that would even happen...needing more points...but I didn't.

This past week, I got very sidetracked dealing with my elderly mother...spent several days at her house taking care of her, then she went into respite care for a few days, and I visited her constantly. I took her back to her home today, and on the way there, she asked what the date was, and as soon as I said "April 1st", it hit me!

Don't even know how many points are involved. Too many family things going on for quite a while lately.

Do you think they'll let me off the hook this one time? If worse comes to worst, I'll use the points to run away from home for a few days but it can't be to DisneyWorld.

If you call MS on Monday and plead your case, they will generally grant you a "one time pass" at least that is what I have heard or read from other DVC members. I also believe that it truly is a "one time pass" ...

Call on Monday. They allowed me to bank points about 3 weeks after the deadline without any problem when my mom died last fall. No mention of the "one time exception".

And if not, and you find out how many points are involved. Maybe you could rent them to me and I could run away to WDW!!!

I called first thing, at 8:58 this morning...first time I didn't have to wait AT ALL on hold. I told her I forgot to bank my points by last Friday and she said "no problem" and did it. Whew! And I found out we can bank online now...I didn't know that! I'm so out of the loop.

Sorry Brenda! You'll just have to tell Keith you to buy in, since you ALWAYS seem to be running away to WDW!

So glad it worked out for you. DVC is great and I knew you wouldn't lose your points or have to use them 'cause you forgot.

They have made some great concessions for me in the past and owning is so much worth it.
