I so enjoyed your reviews! Great food porn pics with enjoyable fun descriptions! I look forward to reading your comments on favorite, etc.

Be sure to investigate DVC resales when you are ready to buy into DVC. There are a couple of great companies who specialize in Disney resales. Some folks prefer to go through Disney, but I think everyone should at least be aware of the resale options. If you have a questions, I'd be happy to answer them. We bought resale in Sept. and it saved us quite a bit of money.:goodvibes

That's right! Forgot about the resale option! :thumbsup2 That would be way cheaper too! Thank you!

I can't believe it's over!:sad1:

But I have so enjoyed your company - and your reviews!:thumbsup2

Mamaboogie! It's been quite a while since i've seen you!:wave2:

I HATE that it's over!!! :sad1: But I had fun doing it! Hopefully I'll be able to do another one soon!!!

I see you Pre-TR is up! Gotta check it out! :thumbsup2

Nice! I'm so glad you convinced him! Haha, my DH picked out all of our restaurants too...the breakfast ones are all MY choices and as you can see, I only got to choose 2! :lmao: Out of the what 15 or so!!! lol! Next time, it's my turn! And perhaps for you too!

Yes it is finally up but I think this weekend we will be switching some of the ADRs around and I still need to write the post on how we almost had to cancel the trip, but were able to move things around.

Actually, come to think of it, 2 of the 3 breakfast's were my choice. DBF is not a breakfast person as hes normally not out of bed until 11 or 12. All our breakfast ADR's are at 10 am and even then I think we will have a hard time making them. Well I wont, I am unable to sleep in, it will be DBF who has to drag his butt out of bed.

Hey, random question for you. I guess you get a tag to put on your luggage and the Disney will pick them up from the airport for you instead of you having to pick them up from the baggage claim (ok yes I am a total newbie to this whole world). We were told you get one per person. The airline we are flying allows to checked bags per person, but not sure if we will bring any extra or not. Do you know any way to get a second tag?

Cheers!

Yes, you're correct about getting 1 tag per person. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2451160&highlight=magical+express

This thread talks about giving your luggage claim ticket to the person at the Magical Express counter if you have more than two bags, and they'll locate your luggage for you and take it to your room.

Not sure if your set in stone about using the luggage tags, but for our very first trip, we used the luggage tags, and probably won't do it again, unless we have more than 3 bags...it took 5 hours to get our luggage to our room. This doesn't happen for everyone though, i've heard within 2 hours which is awesome!

This last trip, we went straight to baggage claim, and took no more than 15-20 minutes to get our stuff and wait for our bus! It was nice to be able to have everything we needed right then and there, even if we didn't really need anything!

You two are darling! Thanks for the Citricos review and pics. I was deciding where DH and I should eat on the night that we ditch the kids at the Poly child care center. Citricos it is!

Jackie

Sad that your review is done. You did a great job!

Isn't that bag great? I got the same one in December. I can't wait to go on a cruise this December and get the new D&B Disney Cruise purse.

Oh yeah! Have heard GREAT things about the bagels! Not sure if you watch King of Queens or not, but they're always eating Chinese food on that show, and I had to laugh when you mentioned chinese! Love that show!

This might be very sinful, but i'm not a huge fan of pastrami...perhaps it's because i've never tried it straight out of NYC??? Maybe I would have a better experience with it then!

I'm literally draggin right now...I can't lift my arms for anything, they're so fatigued...my entire BEING feels so fatigued, i'm considering going home in a few minutes and taking a nap...how sad...I thought I was in shape... :scared1:

Yes, we watch King of Queens, and you're right, they're always eating Chinese food!! But yes, we do have very good Chinese food here. OK, remember how I told you earlier that I am a hotel snob? Well...I'm also a pizza snob, Italian food snob, chinese food snob, bagel snob, deli snob, and sushi snob!! Only certain places I will go for those things! I mean, I'm open to new places but only if I have heard it is a good place from reliable sources. Still, even with new experiences, things have to be done a certain way. Yet I don't consider myself too picky, does that make sense? :confused3 I mean, I loved all the Disney restaurants we went to on our last trip and they were all either buffets (5 were character meals), or all-you-can-eat family-style. Those are the TS that don't get the greatest reviews but I really enjoyed the food. But on the flip side, I love a nice find-dining establishment in NYC on the rare occasion when DH and I go out alone, and I appreciate excellent quality! What can I say...I'm a weird eater.

OK, we'll forgive you for not being so into pastrami! :lmao: Seriously, I was never a big fan of it either...growing up, we would get these huge platters of assorted meats from the kosher deli in Brooklyn (we had a couple that were our favorites...they're still here and still good!!). There was always pastrami, corned beef, salami, tongue (yes, beef tongue!) and turkey. I would usually gravitate toward corned beef, salami and turkey. Once in a while I would take a slice or 2 of pastrami, but it was never my favorite. Last June we took my dad to Katz's Deli to surprise him for his birthday. It was my first time there, believe it or not, even having grown up in NYC! Everyone had raved and raved about their pastrami so I knew I had to at least try it. So I ordered a sandwich with pastrami, corned beef and turkey. I figured if I didn't like the pastrami I had the other meats I would like and their sandwiches are HUGE so I knew there would be enough of the other stuff. Well...let me tell you...I WISH I would have gotten all pastrami! This was some amazing stuff...it literally melted in your mouth! I never tasted pastrami like that before in my life...this place lives up to the hype! And their french fries are to die for...there were 10 of us there altogether, including 4 little kids, and we ordered "fries for the table". Well, they brought us this humungous MOUNTAIN of the most delicious fries!!! So it is definitely worth a trip there! :thumbsup2:

Sorry you're feeling so tired and sore! Try stretching tomorrow...I know you probably don't have the energy today! Make your DH give you a massage tonight! ;) Feel better!:)

1.) Actually it's ME that makes "US" adorable! :rotfl: Just kiddin!
2.) The D&B...Ya, it was pretty much a necessity...first of all, there was literally NO WAY, that I wasn't gonna get this purse because DL doesn't have it yet, and also, you gotta show it off, so you HAVE to get it the first day! Good for you! Glad we're on the same page here! :rotfl2:
3.) DH and I are SO interested in DVC! We've always talked to the guys hangin out at the kiosks, but we've never had "time" to actually sit down and make the tour of the villas...rides, foods, characters...priorities you know? :lmao: But really we do want to do it FOR SURE, just not sure when...need to make sure he lands a secure teaching job first...and now-a-days you can't even use the word secure...but soon i'll be able to put a DVC banner in my Signature!:wizard:

Lesha ~ We joined DVC in 1999 after I did 2 years of research (I'm an Accountant, what can I say :confused3). It was one of the best purchases we have ever made :thumbsup2. I only wish we had done it when our son was 4 instead of 10. I would be happy to answer any DVC questions that you have :). I did the DVC tour twice before we bought. It was EXTREMELY low pressure. DVC truly does sell itself. Its members are its best form of advertisement :dance3:.

Thanks for the info!

Thanks Jackie! Seriously Citricos is in my top 3...that is a top notch place right there! Haha! You're gonna have a FANTASTIC date night with your DH there! Guaranteed! :thumbsup2

Did you say...NEW....????! Please explain!!!! NOW! I knew about the black one, that came out around the same time as the one I have, but had no idea they were still collaborating together!!! How exciting!

Describes me perfectly!!! For me it's like, I know where I like my sopes and will only get them from one place. Same with my burritos. I know what I like and where I like it, so it's hard to stray from those places, unless it's very reputable among people I know, or has been highly rated on Yelp or Trip Advisor. Otherwise, forget it. Not wasting time, money, and ESPECIALLY my appetite on the unknown! :rotfl:

Pastrami, corned beef AND turkey all in one sandwich!!?? :scared1: This place sounds too cool for school! I'm more than POSITIVE my DH would love that sandwich, and honestly it does sound really good! I'd be willing to give it a whirl! Considering you're a reliable source! :lmao:

Yup came home and took a quick nap before making dinner...SORE! But i'm still going to go at 5am tomorrow for cycling...probably the best thing for my body is to work through the soreness...at least I know something "good" is happening with my muscles/fat! :cool1:

Wow 2 years! Well it is a big purchase so I'd understand why it would take so long! And I know as soon as we get it (whenever that may be), we're going to WISH we had done it sooner! I'm SO relieved to hear that it's low pressure...have never been to a timeshare meeting before, but have heard stories about how dreadful the seller can be... So this is great to hear! I'm gonna have to keep you as a contact for any questions we have regarding DVC then for SURE! Man I love the DIS! :disrocks:

Thanks for the info!

I honestly would pick up my bags too! From now on that's all we're going to be doing is picking up our own luggage. I was SO paranoid on our first trip, because our luggage wasn't there within 3 hours, so trying to relax on our first day was not an option until I had my luggage....I mean, my MAKEUP was in there!! :rotfl: Just kiddin of course...but really though I would recommend that!

Check out this link to the new Disney Cruise Line purses: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...nded-product-sets-sail-on-disney-cruise-line/ . We are planning on sailing on the inaugural voyage of The Fantasy in 2012 (with a WONDERFUL group of DISers that we met last May on our DCL western caribbean :grouphug:). I am sooooo saving my $$ to get one of those purses (and wristlet :)) :thumbsup2.

I really wanted to make sure that DVC was for us before we committed to buy. Honestly, I am happy staying anywhere on property as long as I am at WDW :cloud9:. My DH LOVES WL, so when VWL became available for purchase, we bought DVC with VWL as our home resort. When friends ask what DVC is and I tell them that it's Disney's version of a timeshare, I can see the reaction on their face. I then have to explain to them that in no way is it a "typical" timeshare. I too had heard horror stories of timeshare sales presentations where you are literally locked in a room for two hours. The first DVC tour I did was my son and myself. When I saw for myself how very low pressure it was, my DH did one with me the next year. To give you an idea of how it sells itself, I'll tell you a little story :wizard:. On our cruise last May, our tablemates were a husband and wife and their 5 yo daughter. I absolutely ADORE kids, so we all hit it off . She instantly became my new bff and insisted on sitting by me at dinner every night . At dinner the 2nd night, they asked my DH and myself if we knew what DVC was all about. They have a few on board presentations about DVC. Of course we gushed about how much we loved being members and the great flexibility. As a side note, when we go next month we are "paying" for accommodations for us (me, DH, DS and DS's friend) and DBIL and his family (4 in all) with our points. We have taken extended family trips several times and just love being able to share our love of Disney and provide free lodging :woohoo:. Anyway, back to my story . We told our table mates that we would be happy to answer any and all DVC questions that they had. They went to the DVC presentation the next day and had a list of questions for us that night at dinner. By the end of the week, they were DVC members and were kind enough to list us a referral so I got a $200 Disney giftcard to use on our next WDW trip :thumbsup2.

Please do feel free to contact me with any DVC questions, whether it be soon or even a few years from now :). Trust me, there's nothing like hearing "welcome home" when you arrive at a DVC resort :cloud9:.

Wow, that was really a food court area?! Crazy! So was there a restaurant before The Wave, or did they immediately tear down the court/arcade area and go straight to making it The Wave?

Yep, it was a food court and arcade area. They immediately went straight to The Wave. There was nothing inbetween.

Yes, you're correct about getting 1 tag per person.

Hmmmmmm, I thought there were two tags and I tore them in half. :rolleyes1

I have been a DVC member for three years, and it was the best thing we have ever done! So much so that we bought points in CA and I live in Long Beach! :rotfl2:

WOW, a 5AM class?! :scared1: You are even crazier than me, girl!! I get up at 5 every weekday, but that's to get myself and the boys ready for work and school. I always work out when I first get home in the afternoon, and also on the weekends when I try to do it when I first wake up. Working through the soreness is a great idea though, it will make you feel better. :thumbsup2

Right on with the Basic! :thumbsup2 You'll definitely get more done going that route...with the DxDDP, you always had to be somewhere at this time, which means you have to leave from wherever you're at, at this time, to be there at this time, etc etc!!

Oooh yay for MNSSHP!! I've always wanted to go to that party or the Christmas party! Don't think that will happen though since DH is trying to become a teacher...so only summer and winter breaks here :guilty: Oh well..as long as I get to go, right!?

There is a HUGE thread over in the Theme Park section regarding costumes, touring plans for the party, etc...you should check that out!

I wasn't really thinking about doing a full on TR, but I was planning on posting some pics from our trip on here, like our Photopass Pics!

By the way, I  the middle picture of you two! Such a PERFECT shot with the decorations, the hats, and the castle! :woohoo:

We get to start making ADR's next week! So pumped!

DH and I started checking out the threads over in the theme park section about MNSSHP and it looks like we will be safe with our ideas! YAY!! That thread is awesome!

You can still get to the MSMCP if you have winter breaks! :) We went to that one last year and had a blast! Free cookies and cocoa, can't beat it :) Then once your DH becomes a teacher, there will be the wonderful substitute teachers to help cover his classes!! :) Do they have those sorts of parties in DisneyLand? Since you are so close to them?

Thank you so much for the compliment on our Honeymoon photo :) it was my favorite of all the photopass ones we took... and we thought we should just wear those hats all the time, to get all the perks! :rotfl:

Would love to see your other pics from the Trip!!

Umm, why is that purse SO ADORABLE!!!?? :cloud9: As soon as I opened the website, I emailed it to my future sis-in-law, who will be going on the DC to the bahamas for their honeymoon! Now if only I could take a cruise so I can buy that purse!!!! :lmao: You're gonna have SOOO much fun!!!

:lmao: Wow, you should DEFINITELY be putting in an app for Disney to sell DVC memberships!!! They'd be making bank off you!!!

And that's exactly what I want to hear, "Welcome Home"...ahhhh :cloud9: ....but lets be honest here....the hardest part is not buying the membership...it's deciding on where you want to stay at!!! :rotfl2:

Yep, it was a food court and arcade area. They immediately went straight to The Wave. There was nothing inbetween.

Wow, they should have done the transition a looong time ago then. It seems like the Wave has been doing great!

Hmmmmmm, I thought there were two tags and I tore them in half.

I have been a DVC member for three years, and it was the best thing we have ever done! So much so that we bought points in CA and I live in Long Beach! :rotfl2:

I thought there were two as well...I went back to my Disney folder (because I keep EVERYTHING that Disney gives me as a souvie) and sure enough only 2 tags. I remember in 2008 they mailed us 4 tags...:confused3...perhaps with the way airlines are charging for every piece of luggage, Disney has decided to drop their tags from 4 to 2? All speculation, not for sure..

So have you stayed at the GC Villas??? Those look soo nice from what i've seen!

WOW, a 5AM class?! :scared1: You are even crazier than me, girl!! I get up at 5 every weekday, but that's to get myself and the boys ready for work and school. I always work out when I first get home in the afternoon, and also on the weekends when I try to do it when I first wake up. Haha yup! I'm a total morning person, so I get up at 415 mon-fri to go to any of the classes...usually m,w,f it's cycling, tues I'm going to do kickboxing (at least try, i'm still so sore), and thurs it's a shift n lift class...cardio and weights for an hour. I'm really trying to get my butt in shape for summer....:yay: <----me doing jumping jacks!! :lmao: And honestly that's the only time i'm able to really go, so I guess i'll forgo sleep...what's the saying... "I'll sleep when I'm dead"... Are you still doing that one program...chalean right? Remember, I was doing the Jillian Michaels DVD's and I think my body got too used to it. That's what's good about your program...it changes it up! But I have noticed a difference in my thighs and booty from cycling!!! Yay for firmness!!!! :rotfl:

We get to start making ADR's next week! So pumped!

Oh yay!!! Are you going to be a psycho like most of us on here and get up right when they open?? Your East Coast so it should be way easier for you, then it was for me...3am for me! :scared1:

DH and I started checking out the threads over in the theme park section about MNSSHP and it looks like we will be safe with our ideas! YAY!! That thread is awesome!

Not sure if youre keeping it a secret, but what are you guys planning on doing?! I would LOVE to be Alice or the White witch from Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland!!!! Even the Queen of Hearts would be fun too!!

This is true!!! I know we have a party for Halloween over here, but I don't think there's anything special for Christmas. The only thing that happens during Christmas time for us, is they decorate (just like WDW) but they also add the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on The Haunted Mansion, which is too freakin cool!!! And our It's a Small World gets a holiday overlay as well. Both the parties at WDW seem so extravagant and fun!!! :lmao: That's right!! What else are substitutes for then to cover for teachers going to the World!?!?

Thank you so much for the compliment on our Honeymoon photo :) it was my favorite of all the photopass ones we took... and we thought we should just wear those hats all the time, to get all the perks! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Haha even when you're like 70!!! That would be hilarious!!!

Would love to see your other pics from the Trip!!

The Wave is good, isn't it?! We ate there for the first time in March..and we made an ADR for when we're there in July. I do have to admit though, my family was really sad to see the Concourse Steakhouse go. :guilty:

"I'll sleep when I'm dead"... Are you still doing that one program...chalean right? Remember, I was doing the Jillian Michaels DVD's and I think my body got too used to it. That's what's good about your program...it changes it up! But I have noticed a difference in my thighs and booty from cycling!!! Yay for firmness!!!! :rotfl:

Good for you! Sounds like you are very disciplined to get up early and work out. Yes, I am still doing Chalean Extreme. I am in the last week of the Push Phase right now (the one where you lift the heaviest and do fewer reps). This is my second round. I start the Lean Phase next, for a month. Then I am thinking of maybe going back to more cardio and higher reps with lighter weights to change it up. My muscles are much more developed but I kind of miss doing a lot of cardio. Also, I take my measurements once a month and they went up slightly the last 2 times. I do mean slightly...like 1/4 to 1/2 inch in each area. Still, that makes me nervous that I am going to get bigger and I definitely don't want to do that! But supposedly this program is not supposed to make women get bigger because of lack of testosterone. I don't know...part of me is saying to go back to doing more cardio for a while, and part of me is saying to just stick to this. I may change it up in the beginning of June until the trip, and then I can bring my cardio DVDs and do the workouts on vacation. Since we have a 1-bedroom I will have the space. This of course would be on days we are not going to the parks. I got the pedometer from Weight Watchers to wear on the days we are in the parks because I want to see just how much walking I actually do! And for the few days we're in Boca Raton before Disney, we're in the Embassy Suites in a 1-bedroom suite...we've stayed there before and I have worked out to my DVDs in that same room so I know I can! Of course I'll change my mind 10,000 times between now and when I am done with the Lean Phase in the beginning of June! :rotfl: Who knows...I may keep up with Chalean Extreme anyway...we'll see!
