Today was our last official ADR!

And I was NOT happy about it! In fact, I could have thrown a fit right there in the restaurant and Im sure that people would have understood!

You know how at the end of vacation, youre ready to go home
this was quite different for not only me, but DH too! We both said I wish we could stay a few more days, but we knew we would return soon (not sure if you call Summer of 2012 soon).
So this was our hardest decision to make of all our ADRs and heres why:
1.) This was going to be our LAST Disney meal, so we knew we had to make it good! We hadnt heard much about The Wave so we just werent sure. Didnt want to leave on a sour note.
2.) We were debating on doing either an early breakfast or late lunch so we could either sleep in or go to the MK for one last time.
Ultimately, we decided to do a regular time lunch so we could use one of our leftover credits from Yachtsman

laughing

towards a quick breakfast, and that means we had to be up early to get to the MK so we could do a little bit of touring before having lunch
kinda eased the pain a little bit!
We had a 12pm ADR at The Wave and showed up about 5 minutes before 12. We were seated shortly after which was great cuz I was starving!
Heres the sweet entrance and bar area!
Our waitress was Mary and she was wonderful! Very easy to talk to and made some great recommendations! We told her this was our last meal, so dont RUIN IT!

We all just started laughing! She really was a sweet gal! She even took a picture of us!
She took our drink order, for me a Coke (2.69) and DH an Antioxidant Smoothie (4.69). She gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. I also got a few shots of the seating area..
Oh I HAVE to show you a picture of my purse! My Disney Dooney bag purse that I got the first day at the World!!! You can somewhat see it in picture of us together but heres a better shot! Sorry guys, you can just skim right over this...unless you're interested in it of course!
Cha-zing I was sooo stoked on getting this purse! First of all I heart Dooney and I LOVE Disney! What a perfect combination! Ah, and I swore to only use it on Disney trips so it would only have that Disney smell to it! HAHA!
Alright, lets eat!
Appetizers:
I went with the Lump Crab Cake - pan-seared with Napa cabbage slaw and ginger tartar sauce ~ 11.49
Ah, so delicious and what was even better, was that there was hardly any filler in the crab cake! I hate when you order a crab cake with no crab and only bread..,how revolting
Hunny bunny got the Five Spice Chicken Lettuce Wraps - water chestnuts, shiitake mushrooms, and soy ~ 9.49
Omgosh these were gnarly good! I only wanted a bite
.ended up with 1 and a half of the wraps!

Im a trustworthy person, but NEVER trust me with your food! LOL!
The Entrees:
I ordered the Italian Chef Salad - Mixed greens tossed with red wine vinaigrette served with prosciutto, cappicoloa, provolone, salami and shaved parmesan ~14.99
I remember thinking I dont want anything too heavy for the flight home
um, Yeah right! You cant really tell, but theres TONS of meat
.I mean, it was probably the equivalent of two sandwiches! But my was it tasty!
DH ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich - with arugula, tomatoes, and goat cheese herb spread on multi-grain bread ~ 13.99 You can have your choice of fries, salad, or roasted potatoes, so he went with the potatoes.
The sandwich was brilliant! I loved how red and fresh the tomatoes were, and how dark green the arugula was! They packed it out with arugula so it gave a really peppery taste to the chicken itself
ugghh so wonderful! The potatoes were seriously delightful
not a lot of salt, not too much oil, just perfect! I ate them all
poor guy
I wonder if he even ate???
The Desserts:
As we all know, DH didnt want dessert but it was a necessity for me, like breathing, so I went and ordered the Decadent Flavors - Blueberry Compote with Yogurt Gelato, Lemon Cornbread with Vanilla Panna Cotta, Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel Sauce ~7.99
I mean, do you really need me to tell you how satisfying, delicious, excellent, superb etc etc this dessert was?!?! Perhaps it was the excitement of having three different desserts on my plate at once, or maybe it was the fact that this was my last Disney Dessert, but I cant stress enough how lovely this was! I wouldnt have named it Decadent Flavors
it would have been Scrumptralascent Pleasures!
For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 1 credit per person because its a Table Service restaurant, so its 2 credits total.
For those paying OOP, here was our total for 2 Non-alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert with tax = $69.58
I was very happy with our decision to make this our last meal. It was filling and yummy. Next time I would like to stick this somewhere in the the middle of our trip though, just so I can try the Organic Beer Flight. Just to let everyone know, this restaurants prides itself in serving organic and fresh, local foods. But I would truly recommend this place to anyone for lunch!
So that's it people! The Ugh, what were we thinking thread is complete...but stay tuned for extras after the show! Thats a wrap!!!
