I may just cry!!! Its over. Very sad but what an excellent review!

I think I have convinced DBF to add Jiko to the ADR's (we will be dropping Aloha show). He did say that he would give me this one as I dont have many picks when it comes to the ADRs so far. Now I just have to convince him on Chef's.

Again, excellent review!

Okay, cuz you just got me hungry ALL over again, and I just finished my lunch about an hour ago...I'm supposed to go to the gym in about half an hour, but how the Heck am I gonna go now with pasta dishes and amazing cupcakes on my mind!?!?! :scared1: And with the wedding coming up this Saturday, you KNOW I shouldn't be eating that right now! :rotfl:

Seriously though, I'm going to have to convince my bro and sis in law to go to NYC when we're in PA this summer!!! She's a dessert fiend too, so all I'm gonna have to say is cupca- and we're there! :lmao:

Speaking of a 50's diner, last weekend we were at a Chili cook off that we always go to...well my mom's TOTALLY into 50's garb (born in the 50's so of course she has to like that time period), and I told her about this old railroad car that was turned into a diner...BEST hamburgers and malts ever! She loved the place!!! Rock n Roll diner is what it's called...so cute! I love themed restaurants! That's probably why I love Disney Restaurants so much!

Anyways, I'm not really done with my thread...I still need to do a price breakdown and say which were my favs!! So no worries..I'll still be here! :yay: Not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing to some people! :rotfl:

OK, now if you convince them to go to NYC, I will tell you all the best places for sweets. To start you off, there is a chocolate place called Jacques Torres. I have only been to the one in Brooklyn but there is also a location in Manhattan. Amazing candy, amazing cookies, and the hot chocolate is so amazing there, that my DH, who is a hot chocolate snob, says it is the best he's ever had...it literally tastes like a melted chocolate bar!!! The one in Brooklyn is near this restaurant called Bubby's that serves breakfast and also typical diner food, and they specialize in pies! Their peanut butter pie is to die for! My sister and I went there for lunch over spring break and we're gonna take our parents there for their anniversary this summer! It's also kid-friendly which we need!

Let me know if you are definitely going to NYC because I will tell you all the best places to go to and believe me, they are not expensive (well, not for NYC anyway!). Just don't eat Mexican food here because you are used to the real thing girl!!!

I think I speak for everyone here when I say that you should definitely stick around!! ;)

Oh man, love The Wave! We tried there for our first time in March and loved it. You actually took a pic of our table!

Wasn't it so neat in there?! It was crazy to think that used to be the food court/arcade area!

Just caught up since Jiko...So sad :sad1: that this is coming to an end!

Two of my favorites together in one dish: mac & cheese and filet! It looks scrumptuous! And I love how every family develops their own Disney traditions. You end with Jiko...we start with O'Hana's.

And I'm so glad you enjoyed the Wave! Next time try it for breakfast... the BEST omelet I've had at WDW! A very nice surprise! And it sort of stays under the radar so it's never too crowded..:thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear the bottom line!

Awwww... I don't want it to end. Quick book another trip - 2012 is too far away! :rotfl:

Seriously though, great job with the review. I look forward to your wrap up - 'cause I'm picturing it kinda like the blooper reel at the end of a movie during the credits! :lmao:

OH man I'm sure their food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! :cloud9: And that's another thing I want to do as well, is go to Disneyland Paris! Have you ever been? Is it quite different from the original Disneyland? There has to be some differences in order for it to stand out amongst the others right?

Yes, l've been to Disneyland Paris 5 times, it was the first Disney Park l visited, l live in Scotland, so it's my closest Disney park. I love going there, l always stay at one of the onsite Disney hotels (there's 6 of them - l've stayed at 4 so far, only 2 more to go). You can walk from the hotels to the park (although there are buses too), furthest hotel is about 15/20 mins walk, the others are closer. We have a personalised paving stone in Fantasia Gardens at the park so it's lovely to see it each time we go.

Disneyland Paris is a lot smaller than WDW (we spend about 4/5 days there rather than 2 weeks like you would with WDW) - there is just the two parks -Magic Kingdom & Disney Studios (like Hollywood Studios) and also Disney Village (more shops, restaurants, cinema, Buffalo Bills Wild West show). It's a lovely park - many people say the Castle & Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom has a more European fairytale feel, it's so beautiful. :cloud9: (there's lots of pictures on the internet of it). Some of the rides are pretty much the same, others a bit different - eg POTC is longer at the Paris park.
If you ever get the chance to go to Europe/France l'd definately recommend a visit.

Sorry for taking your thread off topic. :flower3:

Love your Disney handbag. :cloud9:

The food in your last review (Wave) looks amazing, yum! I've really enjoyed reading your reviews - thanks for posting all the information and taking all the photos as well (l've discovered virtual dining ). You'd make a great food writer/critic in a newspaper, you've got a great writing style, your reviews are much more fun & interesting than many l've read in newspapers/magazines. Fancy a change of career?

Lesha,

your review was the first one that I read when I started checking out DIS. I decided to join bc I thought your food review was great! I am planning a trip to WDW Oct. 31-Nov. 5 and because of your review we have so much to look forward to.

Great review! So sad it is over!

Great review of The Wave!!!!!! Love the atmosphere and decor, beautiful! Those crab cakes look yummmmm!!!

Great reviews. I love reading the DxDDP reviews just to see if people love it as mucha s we did. We will never travel w/out it. Great Job I can't wait to go now!

Just want to say 3 things:
1. You two are adorable!
2. Love your D&B, I am planning to do the same thing. Buy 1 the day after we land... :lmao:
3. If you're really interested in DVC hop over to the DVC boards, loads of info there. And just FYI, I read you are DL AP member. Not sure if you're interested to stay at GCV. They are the smallest DVC resort (48 units total). If you are thinking you might like to stay there regularly you might want to check it out. This is the place where home resort advantage would be absolutely necessary in the future... :)

Great reviews! Made me hungry... drool...

I see you Pre-TR is up! Gotta check it out! :thumbsup2

Nice! I'm so glad you convinced him! Haha, my DH picked out all of our restaurants too...the breakfast ones are all MY choices and as you can see, I only got to choose 2! :lmao: Out of the what 15 or so!!! lol! Next time, it's my turn! And perhaps for you too!

OK, now if you convince them to go to NYC, I will tell you all the best places for sweets. To start you off, there is a chocolate place called Jacques Torres. I'm DEFINITELY going to hit you up for suggestions if we make it out there! I can imagine drinking a melted chocolate bar....droooool...

Yeah, NY appears to be a foodies heaven right? I mean you got everything there! Pretty jealous I must say! But we do have the Mexican food down so that's something right? Oh and we may be tied for Sushi...:confused3 not sure though...

Just thought I'd tell you...I went to a Box and Bag class this morning, like a kickboxing class....:scared1: ....I....DIED!!! Whenever I work out HARD, i'm usually sore the next day...nope, my triceps are burning, my thighs are on FIRE, and all about 3 hours later! Can't IMAGINE how i'm going to feel tomorrow...

Oh man, love The Wave! We tried there for our first time in March and loved it. You actually took a pic of our table!

Wasn't it so neat in there?! It was crazy to think that used to be the food court/arcade area!

Haha! How funny!! I loved walking through the Wave like tunnel...that bar area is so neat too! Wished we could have used it though! Even the waiting area with the neat blue room and the tables was awesome!

Wow, that was really a food court area?! Crazy! So was there a restaurant before The Wave, or did they immediately tear down the court/arcade area and go straight to making it The Wave?

Just caught up since Jiko...So sad :sad1: that this is coming to an end!

Dr.! Good to see you again!

Aww, O'hana's! Which do you prefer from there? Breakfast or Dinner? I was telling my DH yesterday that the reviews about this place are always positive, just not sure on when to go!

Ooh, I LOVE omelets! I usually make my own at home...egg white and spinach omelets...I know too freakin healthy and not fun AT ALL, but whenever we do go out to have breakfast, I usually load up on all that fun stuff...what's it called, ah yes, FAT! Ham, extra cheese, ya I'll take about a tablespoon of tomatoes, but give me EXTRA cheese to make up for that! :lmao:

Awwww... I don't want it to end. Quick book another trip - 2012 is too far away! :rotfl:

Seriously though, great job with the review. I look forward to your wrap up - 'cause I'm picturing it kinda like the blooper reel at the end of a movie during the credits! :lmao:

I literally think I'm not gonna make it to 2012!!! popcorn:: <--- me waiting for 2012...might as well add some tv here, it's gonna be a while! :happytv:

Haha! Thanks for the kind words!

Wow! Six hotels!!! Didn't know it was that big! I've seen the castle on pictures, and it's gorgeous! I was hoping they would add some European flare, considering the location! I hate looking at pictures sometimes, because I want the first time to be unexpected and exciting....however, seeing as I'll probably never make it out that way until i'm 35, I'm just gonna have to take some peeks!

Have you ever been out here to the original Disneyland? Ride POTC here, and then tell me if it's longer than DP! When we first went on POTC at WDW, we were ready to be seated for a LONG time...right when we got comfortable, it was over!

It's so funny watching people get out of the boats here at DL because they look like they had just gotten done watching a Mickey Rourke film, confused and uninterested..

Ah, I would love to write reviews about food! I'm afraid I'm just too nice though! But when it comes to Hotels, let me at 'em! :lmao:

Lesha,

your review was the first one that I read when I started checking out DIS. I decided to join bc I thought your food review was great! I am planning a trip to WDW Oct. 31-Nov. 5 and because of your review we have so much to look forward to.

Great review! So sad it is over!

:welcome: I'm so glad you joined the DIS! I've got some FANTASTIC information from all these fine folks, and I'm sure you will as well!

So are you going to be on the Dining Plan and which one?

How exciting, you'll be there on Halloween! Are you going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party??

Great review of The Wave!!!!!! Love the atmosphere and decor, beautiful! Those crab cakes look yummmmm!!!

Thanks Allegra! The ambiance of The Wave is so comforting and refreshing...ah, and that Crab Cake, was too good!

Amazing reviews..I really enjoy your writing style and pics too!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked my reviews! :)

Great reviews. I love reading the DxDDP reviews just to see if people love it as mucha s we did. We will never travel w/out it. Great Job I can't wait to go now!

Omgosh....SO MUCH FOOD! Before we went, I was looking at some DxDDP reviews and thinking it doesn't LOOK like much food....what a fool I made of myself for even conjuring that up in my head! In my Dining TR, you don't see any of the 32 snacks that we got....add that to 17 meals we ate in 9 days and thats a WHOLE lotta grubbin! :lmao:

Just want to say 3 things:
1. You two are adorable!

Great reviews! Made me hungry... drool...

1.) Actually it's ME that makes "US" adorable! :rotfl: Just kiddin!
2.) The D&B...Ya, it was pretty much a necessity...first of all, there was literally NO WAY, that I wasn't gonna get this purse because DL doesn't have it yet, and also, you gotta show it off, so you HAVE to get it the first day! Good for you! Glad we're on the same page here! :rotfl2:
3.) DH and I are SO interested in DVC! We've always talked to the guys hangin out at the kiosks, but we've never had "time" to actually sit down and make the tour of the villas...rides, foods, characters...priorities you know? :lmao: But really we do want to do it FOR SURE, just not sure when...need to make sure he lands a secure teaching job first...and now-a-days you can't even use the word secure...but soon i'll be able to put a DVC banner in my Signature!:wizard:

:welcome: I'm so glad you joined the DIS! I've got some FANTASTIC information from all these fine folks, and I'm sure you will as well!

So are you going to be on the Dining Plan and which one?

How exciting, you'll be there on Halloween! Are you going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party??

I am already learning how wonderful the information people have on here, it is CRAZY! :hyper: I never wouldhave thought all this information was right there in front of me, wish I had found out sooner!!

We are doing the Basic Dining Plan... we are really into the rides and things so we want to try to make time for everything. I hope we can still manage that!

And we ARE going to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!! I am so excited. We typically go around mid November so we usually get to see the Christmas decor, so we are really excited to see what it is like for Halloween! Have you ever been to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party? We are curious if there are rules and regulations about costumes and things... not that we would have anything crazy or anything!

Thanks again for such a wonderful review! we are definitely planning a trip to Kona for that awesome looking breakfast! Are you planning on doing a full Trip Report for your time at WDW??

LOVED your reviews!! You have a great writing style and took some awesome pictures :thumbsup2. You and your husband are just too cute too :lovestruc. I LOVE your D & B purse :cool1:. I am getting that same style next month ( in 16 days woohoo :dance3:) when we go. Thanks for sharing your trip with your DIS friends :woohoo:.

:

Yes, l've been to Disneyland California once - in 2000, gosh 10 years ago! - it doesn't seem that long ago. I loved it there. :cloud9: We stayed at the Disneyland Pacific hotel, (think it's now renamed Paradise Pier).
re the POTC ride according to allexperts.com the DP version lasts 10mins, Disneyland California 14.30 mins, WDW 8.30 mins

Right on with the Basic! :thumbsup2 You'll definitely get more done going that route...with the DxDDP, you always had to be somewhere at this time, which means you have to leave from wherever you're at, at this time, to be there at this time, etc etc!!

Oooh yay for MNSSHP!! I've always wanted to go to that party or the Christmas party! Don't think that will happen though since DH is trying to become a teacher...so only summer and winter breaks here :guilty: Oh well..as long as I get to go, right!?

There is a HUGE thread over in the Theme Park section regarding costumes, touring plans for the party, etc...you should check that out!

I wasn't really thinking about doing a full on TR, but I was planning on posting some pics from our trip on here, like our Photopass Pics!

By the way, I  the middle picture of you two! Such a PERFECT shot with the decorations, the hats, and the castle! :woohoo:

Well thank you for the wonderful compliments! :worship: Too kind! Ooo yay for your soon-to-be purse and your trip!!! Wow 16 days....I think I got somewhere around 740 days!!!! :scared1: THAT SOUNDS AND LOOKS HORRIFIC! I'd much rather say 2012 then seeing that atrocious number! Ugh, nonetheless, have a great trip!!!

Wow! Look at that time difference! I KNEW it was longer, didn't know it was 6 minutes longer!!! And DP is in the middle which sounds way better than DL and WDW! Thanks for that info...gotta check out that website!:thumbsup2

Wow 10 years ago!? You're WAAAYYY overdue!! :lmao: Much has changed since then...and it's going to get even BETTER over the next couple years...hopefully you'll be able to make a trip then!

Yes, NY is a great place for a foodie!! As far as sushi, we have some excellent places, but you may be right in saying we are tied for that one. I have never been to California, but I have heard great things about sushi there!!

In NY, the things you wouldn't want to miss are bagels, pizza, Italian food, Katz's Deli (best pastrami EVER!), and Chinese food.

Sore 3 hours after working out huh? Wow, it really must have been killer! I'm usually sore the next day, or sometimes at the very end of the day if I worked out early in the morning. Let me know how you feel tomorrow!

I have enjoyed your adventures in dining and cannot wait to start my own adventure in 21 days at the world. Love your purse too!

Oh yeah! Have heard GREAT things about the bagels! Not sure if you watch King of Queens or not, but they're always eating Chinese food on that show, and I had to laugh when you mentioned chinese! Love that show!

This might be very sinful, but i'm not a huge fan of pastrami...perhaps it's because i've never tried it straight out of NYC??? Maybe I would have a better experience with it then!

I'm literally draggin right now...I can't lift my arms for anything, they're so fatigued...my entire BEING feels so fatigued, i'm considering going home in a few minutes and taking a nap...how sad...I thought I was in shape... :scared1:

I have enjoyed your adventures in dining and cannot wait to start my own adventure in 21 days at the world. Love your purse too!

Looks like you're doing the EXACT same thing me and my hubby did...CSR and DxDDP!!! :cool1: Will you be doing a Dining TR??
