UGH! We just missed the SWA 50,000 bonus points.

We've been meaning to apply and had not gotten around to it. We booked a trip today, so I went to apply, and it's gone. Anybody have a link that still works for the offer? I checked an old thread that had some links, but they don't work anymore . --Katie

I don't know of any links but you do need to apply well ahead of your trip. You get approved and then you need to make a purchase. Your bonus rewards are credited to your account the day your first statement cuts so it is usually 4-6 weeks before you actually get your points and can use them to book a trip.

Well that stinks! I saw the advertising banner at the top of the threads discussing the SWA card and I noticed that it said "ends May 16". Of course, it was May 16 when I noticed that and I thought to myself that it was just one of those come ons. I guess they weren't kidding.

But that offer has been recycled a few times, so there's hope that it might reappear in a month or two. Just wait for it if you have the time before your trip. It's worth it to double your bonus rewards.

Thanks for the sympathy, guys . Too bad I didn't notice the "offer ends May 16" fine print! We end up flying several times a year, so we'll probably use those credits on another flight when they have the offer again. Would have been nice for this trip, though. Airfare has been a killer lately! --Katie

This is (I think) the third time it's been offered since November. I wouldn't be surprised if it's offered in another couple months.
