I bought myself the Making Memories Tool Kit from Michaels last week (gotta love those 50% off coupons!) and there are no instructions inside!!! Uhhhh I am SUCH a novice here, HELP!! LOL Thanks in advance.
PS-Here is what is included in the "kit"
Hammer
Eyelet setter
3 size anywhere hole punch
Round-ended pliers
Tweezers
Paper piercer
Needles
I have this set & have to say I was a bit surprised that there were no instructions too. I'm guessing you want instructions for setting eyelets? You'll still need a mat - I don't know why it's not in there.
First punch a hole with the correct sized hole punch. For cardstock, you'll need to hit a little harder with the hammer. Make sure you use some sort of mat or work on a surface you don't care about marking up.
Then place the eyelet through the hole & settle the setter tool over the back of the eyelet. You need to hit fairly hard with the hammer. It often takes me 5 hits to get a good set.
Make sure you're working on a very stable surface. A card table will "give" too much when you hammer & the eyelet won't set.
I couldn't get the large eyelets (3/16") to set with the tool in the kit too well. Some
will set, but it was kind of hit or miss - no pun intended.

Also, the really small ones didn't set with that tool come to think of it. I ended up getting a universal tool later, once I ran into some eyelets that I really wanted to use that wouldn't set.
I hate the tweezers they include...I have a pair of surgical tweezers that I like much better.

As for the other tools? I don't know what to do with them.

Although I guess the paper piercer would be useful when you're using brads.
