Ugh, my bike was stolen!

I am so mad right now!!! I don't have a car so this past summer I bought a bike at WalMart. Nothing fancy, just a $100 bike. I use it to get around and rode it to work this afternoon. I work at a movie theatre and I always lock it up in front of the theatre where they have a rack. I have one of those combination rope locks...well I get out of work tonight and it's gone!! I can't believe it. I'm so mad that someone would take it and it's just STUPID! It's a $100 WalMart bike it's not like it's worth that much. They must have been pretty crafty..I don't know how they got the lock off. I suppose I could file a report with the campus police but there are hundreds of bikes on campus and the odds they would find it are so slim. It's just frustarating since I use it so much to get around. I just hate it that there are jerks who would steal stuff like that! It's not even worth anything, what are they going to do, ride it? ARGH!!!!!!!!

The theatre I work at is on a busy street so, and there's a lot of foot traffic. I don't know how someone was able to get the lock off.

I know it's nothing major, but I don't have the money to buy a new one and now it's going to be a lot harder to get around. I just can't understand why someone would do it! Thanks for letting me vent.

I am so sorry! I had a $25 dollar used bike in college and someone stole it, when I got a new one, I got one of those U-Locks. I recommend you get one if you get another bike.

i had a friend who would take the front tire off her bike when she would go to class and the bike still got stolen! twice actually, she found it both times and she went to a huge university. so there still may be hope!

Could just wire a small electrical charge through it when you lock it up. Sorry to hear about it though, it absolutely does suck, my car was broken into earlier this month.
