I dropped my "Disney" camera on the floor and broke it. So now I need to replace it. It was a Kodak Easy Share and I liked it but the battery never lasted long enough for a day at WDW. I had even purchased a new battery... For that reason I want to replace it with a different kind and need some recommendations. I want a pocket sized camera that takes good Disney pictures. Does anybody have a camera that they "LOVE"? Thanks!!

I Love the Panasonic Lumix... I've bought 4 of them in the last 6-7 yrs (upgraded a few times, nothing at all wrong with the previous cameras).
I've stayed within the same "line" with my most recent one being the ZS20 and I just love how the pictures turn out, especially on my dd's action shots.. get maybe one blurry pic about every 50 I take.

We have a really nice Canon that had to go in the shop due to a speck in the lens. It didn't come back in time for our Disney trip so we had to buy a new, good one. We bought the Canon S120 and it did great on the trip and we still use it as our "small" camera.

I have an old Lumix you can have. It's not a high MP one but it works fine and takes good photos. I'll look for it and let you know the MP and you can let me know if you want it (free, of course).

Agree about the Panasonic Lumix...love ours. We have had it for years and it goes everywhere with us on vacation and to ball games.
Costco have good prices on it...that is if you do not get the free one!
Gotta love the Disboards...pixiedust:

I really like my old Nikon Coolpix. It's 10 years old now, and I have a different, newer camera, but I like the Coolpix better. They have ones that take AA batteries or ones that are rechargable, built into the camera. My old one takes AA batteries and I used rechargables in it, keeping a spare set in the camera case. My friend is a photographer and she recommends the cameras with the built in rechargable battery, though I'm always afraid the battery will die and can't be replaced mid-day (which happened with my newer camera at my baby shower). I suppose you could get an extra battery to keep on hand, though. My newer camera is a Sanyo and I don't like it very much. My husband got it for me for Christmas about 4 years ago. It's got a rechargable battery, and the friend who was using it to take photos left it on during the baby shower, so it died after the first hour or so. The photos are often blurry, and the "kids" function is awful, so I can rarely get a good photo of my wiggly 4 month old! A new Coolpix is on my Christmas list. They have them at Best Buy and Sams Club for around $100.

I don't know your budget, but I highly recommend the Canon Powershot ELPH310. It takes awesome photos and HD video. You can usually get it around $200, but with the holidays approaching you should start seeing deals soon.

This is the one I bought last Christmas, great little camera, lots of features, compact and sturdy!

I have a Canon Powershot ELPH SD1100 IS that I bought a few years ago and I love it. It takes great pictures, has a great battery and is nice and compact. :)

I have a Cannon SX260 HS. I got mine about a year ago, and the camera takes such AMAZING pictures! They are XLR quality without the cost of buying an XLR! AND it is a P&S! After I got mine and posted my first set of photos online 4 of my friends went out and got the same camera. It is one I will not replace or want to upgrade (big mistake Cannon making a quality camera I don't wanna trade in lol), until it dies or I drop it and smash it to pieces!

I can vouch for the sturdy part! Mine spent about 15 minutes at the bottom of a river in Yosemite this summer and after drying out for a week, went right back to taking amazing pictures.

Love my ZS20 too! It's about $75 cheaper now then when I bought it but that's OK - i like it that much :)

Thanks so much for all of your help! Going camera shopping today...seems like I want to actually hold the camera in my hand - it is so hard for me to make a choice on something like this from an internet web site. Thanks all!!
