After my own Dr. didn't believe that my foot really hurt and disregarded what the Chiropodist said it turns out the Chiropodist might be right. My Dr. sent me to a Dr. who deals with feet. She looked at my foot and really examined it. She is setting up a bone scan and an ultrasound on my foot. She thinks that it quite possibly be a bone fracture (which doesn't show up on x-rays) or a neuroma. I need to wear the walking boot, keep my foot up and I can't drive. This is exactly what the Chiropodist said 2 weeks ago. Now I get to go back to my Dr. to hopefully have her figure out why I have this awful itchy rash all over. I don't think she really believes me about how bad the rash is either.

I think I would probably have to find a new doctor if mine didn't believe me.
Sorry you're dealing with this. I hope you can get some resolution to the whole thing and start feeling better.

You have my sympathies. I broke a bone in my foot several years ago and it took forever to get right because i couldn't really get off the foot as much as I needed to. Right now, my DD17 is in a walking boot like you, nursing a foot fracture. Having a broken foot is a lot like having a low level toothache--it just sorta nags all the time, not so spectacularly painful, but you just never get rid of the ache. Rest, ice, ibuprofen.:wizard:
