I feel sick. It is 7:14 in the moring and I just ate a double chocolate whoopie pie!! NOt a normal size whoopie pie ...not this thing was the size of a huge and I mean huge hamburger. My husband gets them at the Hilltop in Saugus Ma and they weigh 6 oz!!! What is wrong with me...my mother used to tell me" if you eat sweets in the morning you will get worms" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: Oh and the worst part...they are only 1.00!!

For all of you people who go to the Hilltop they come in chocolate chip, lemon , and chocolate peanutbutter too..they also have a 3lb size!! No this is not a commercial I just want others to buy them so they will not have any when I go ...summer is coming and I am going to have to sew "whoopie pie" pockets on the hips of my jean if I do not lose weight.

I am going to have to go to whoopie rehab if I do not stop.

Okay so I have been on the Dis for how many years and not gotten tagged?!

So now I get tagged and look what they give me...."I am going to have to sew whoopie pie pockets on the hips of my jeans" Wow...of all the thousands of posts I might or might not be noted for, THIS is the one they choose?? :rotfl2: With a screen name like Bella the Ball 360 I think this is restating the obvious!! :lmao:

Wow, I have never seen that on their dessert menu. Can you only buy them in the shop? Wish I had one right now.

Sorry they are not on the dessert menu they are in the grocery store behind the restaurant. The name is Steve's I think. I most likely ate the wrapping too they are so good. It is a company from Me.

We are from Maine and for some reason the bigger the better in the bakery industry. We have a restaurant that makes these huge chocolate chip cookies and puts (I swear) a lb of ice cream in the middle and freeze it. Of course they are reasonable priced too ......OY OY OY......so if we do get one I cut it in half and in quarters cause it is so big for me.....heck I may even share with hubby and the doggie

Thanks , I might have to take out my row boat today and venture over there!

WEll if you do they are in the front of the store near the register. My husband said they were kind of low yesterday but they also have huge brownies, carrot cake and a bunch of other stuff. The giant whopiee pie is in the aisle near the self serve donuts with all the cakes. I like the chocolate chip too!! Luckily, I do not go there often but I am going to get some for my son's grad party for his friends. I thought a basket of them on the table might be cute.

sounds good!! I work next to the Hilltop in Braintree and I'm going to work tonight....I might just have to stop in and get me some!

Thanks for the info. That sounds like a great idea for your sons grad party, what kid doesnot like whoopie pies? Hopefully it will be dry for your grad party. I can not wait to see the sun again. :sunny:

I know this is a little late but YES they do have chocolate dipped ones too but they are like only 5 oz not 6 oz !

I am living proof that your mother was just pulling your leg. :lmao: My life revolves around sweets, (see my cupcake tag), and I do enjoy a cupcake, or three or four, for breakfast. I'm quite certain I don't have worms! :rotfl2:

Hey I notice you live in ME, did you ever try Steves Whopiee Pies? I think it is located in Skowhegan (sp?). If you have PLEASE do not tell me it is one of those disgusting bakeries one would never visit. LOL NO, Wait Please do tell me that and then I MIGHT never eat more of their whoopie pies!! :lmao:

Hi, I do not want to switch topics but, last night my brother informed me the Hilltop is in the process of being sold. He said he heard they are going to build condos on the land, as you know that is a lot of land, they would be getting mega bucks for that property. I am hoping my brother is dead wrong, we celebrate all of our family birthdays here.

Wow that is a shock! Well if it is true then I will NOT be getting my whoopie pies. I bet it is just a rumor. I mean between the store (which by the way is gross) and the restaurant and function halls I cannot believe it would be more of a money maker if they put condos on it. I just think it is a rumor. How does your brother know? Did he get it from a reliable source?? I will miss the cows!LOL.

I'm not familiar with Steves Whoopie Pies. I'm down in southern Maine. Of course, when I buy a whoopie pie, I rip the outer wrapper off so fast that I really don't take notice of who made it! I'm just so frantic to eat the thing! :rotfl2:

I LOVE the Henrys Market ones in Beverly, they are made right there and come 2 in a box @ $1.99 which is just sick! I ate one yesterday morning for tomorrow is my birthday and I could "justify it".....haa ya right! :rolleyes1

oh ya, they also make a whoopie pie CAKE! :sad2:

99 cents! They were surprisingly very good! And HUGE! I put one in the freezer to eat later. It'll be like fudge!!
