With the cooler weather, the local mouse population is looking for a warm place to live. They have apparantly voted our garage as the most desirable place to retire for the winter.

I have found 2 dead ones so far and I think I smell another one.

They also think that my pop can recycling bin is a cool place to play. When I tried to empty the bucket, I noticed that peculiar smell. Then I suddenly realized that the can in my hand had something heavy in it and it was a dead mouse!!!! I freaked out and threw out all of the cans. So gross!!!!

Ewwwwwwwww!

your garage and mine too :(

I really hate mice! I was willing to help one little one that was in my garage... then I found 4 more. I drew the line there. darn things

They like my attic. Grrrrrr!!!!!!

There better not be any around (dead or alive) when it comes time to list our place to sell. I'm using traps (no poison) because I can't chance having one die in the wall & having to smell it when we list.

My darn cat is USELESS!!!!

I had them in the garage last winter and the baby found his way into my bedroom where my dog promptly went nuts at 3 a.m. trying to catch it.

We ended up snapping 3 -- I assume mommy, daddy and baby. The baby was the saddest.

Glue strips are the answer! Place them along all the baseboards here and there and near the door entrances. Then just pick up strips and throw them away.

I prefer glue strips, too, but our children can't seem to keep away from them. That stuff is very sticky!

Glue strips, huh? Guess you've never had a mouse chew off his foot to get loose, huh?

I have 4 cats in my house and this year one managed to get in anyhow. The cats had been acting crazy, looking at the fridge base etc, but I couldn't see anything.
the other day my DIL was loading the dishwasher and she noticed something fell from the top to the bottom rack. Loh and behold, a little mouse. How he got in there I will never figure out.
But they ran the washer and pulled the wet but clean body out and tossed him out. Yuck. But I guess it is better going that way than having 4 cats share you.
My cats are always bringing "gifts" of mice, snakes and birds home for me. This is their way of thanking the master of the house, by providing meals for him/her. I would rather have beef. Peggie

OMG! :earseek:

I'll Die!!! I got a phobia for rats, mice, frogs. We live close to the woods and a pond, but we have 5 cats and they do their job, I've never seen one mouse or rat in the house, the kids had found dead ones out in the yard, near the pond. God Bless my Cats :paw:

Last April I visited my sister in Houston and she didn't tell me that she had extra visitors because she knows about my phobia, so one night I went to the kitchen to get something to drink and I opened the pantry, she has the dog food bag in there on the floor, so I heard some noise, but didn't care much, so i moved the bag to get the coffee can, and OMG, they got out of the bag like ants, I don't know how many of them, but they looked like ants running everywhere, i screamed so loud, drop my cup, cut my leg with a piece of the cup, and i got in shock, couldn't move or scream anymore, my sister and BIL ran to the kitchen and they have to put me in the the cold water shower, she was so scare, my poor sister. After a while i was "OK" but they have to take me to a nearby hotel bcs I just couldn't stay there.

The next day the bug man came to the house and told her that they were in the attic and in the garage, since it was a crack on the garage door and it was a field next to the house.

It was the most horrible experience! :confused3
