Ugh! ADRs!

This is depressing. I can't make my ADRs for a few weeks yet but I'm already stressed. Never thought this would be an issue. The kicker is this time we're taking our niece for her first ever visit and wanted it to be extra special for her, and now it looks like we'll be eating at Biergarten everyday (nothing against Beirgarten). Sorry, had to vent. I hope you all get your choices and wish you the best!

Was just told there is a system error for the last two weeks in August and things are coming as no availability and the CMs were told by their supervisor to tell people to call back later??

This is only funny to me because I am delirious from lack of sleep.

Thanks for the info - we figured there has to be a system error! They have NOTHING in resort hotels, but offer CP and other character dining! Can't be!

Still on hold about 45 minutes now. After about 5 minutes I called back and hung up then decided to call back again. I was told for a ressie to Cali Grill for 15 people I needed to call them directly. I noticed that I got the reservations for later in the week but none for the beginning. I'm going to try to move things around again but not sure if this will work.

The kicker, my mom keeps asking how its going but she doesn't know that the other 9 members of our family are going and keeps making suggestions. I just want to yell..."Its because there's 15 of us!"

WOW - I got thru right away, no hold this moring... talk about a mess... If you want to eat at Biergarten every day you'll have no problem... I was on the phone for 1 hour 12 minutes... NO Le Cellier for my entire stay. I had my list of 9 ADR that I was going for. Was able to get 5, the other 4 and most of my 15 backups came back with nothing... ARRGGHH!! At least I landed a 6:35 Ohana for my August trip.... I have one day that they couldn't even fill. I can see this is going to be an ongoing process trying to complete my ADR's. By the way these were for a party of 4.

I was on hold for 70 minutes. Got a very nice CM who was extremely helpful. She also said there was a system bug that should hopefully be fixed later today and some restaurants are showing no availability at all that last week of August. For instance, Boatwright's was showing no availability for dinner (at any time) for any of the dates I had her check... and Boatwrights is usually my easiest reservation to get!

I did have alternate times and restaurants so I have enough reservations for the trip but most of them weren't at my preferred time or restaurant.

Thankfully, I was able to get Hoop De Doo and Chef Mickey's which were two out of three of our "must have" reservations.

I'll be calling back to try to get Le Cellier, Sci-Fi Dine In, and Boatwrights which were all showing no availability.

My advice, be flexible.

i was on hold 1st time for 58 min. could only get 2 / 4 of our Adrs tried different days & times - nothing.

on hold again trying different restaurants. i didn't think our picks were all that popular. Chefs de France is booked our entire stay?

i'll see what happens this time then call back later like others have said. maybe the system glitch will be fixed then?

I think the wait is longer than they quote you because once people get on it is taking longer to find back ups because the original choices are not available. And rather than call back people staying on the line until they sort it out. Which I totally understand!!

I just got off the phone again. No availability for 2 out of 4 requests & the alternates my family picked out. Got better times for the 1st 2 ADRs though. The CM did say to call back today. She said some restaurants have not uploaded their availability to the system yet.

I will try later today. Keeping my fingers crossed for a little Disney Magic. My DS14 picked Chefs de France (he's taking french in school) with no back up. He says this is the only place he really WANTS to eat at.

Anyway, keep trying everyone. Here's hoping we all get what we want!

Yup, my CM told me there should be availability but do to a system error it just isn't showing up. Try again this afternoon/evening and hopefully they'll have it fixed.

This is absolutely pathetic! I just don't get why they can't do better than this. They put people in the position of getting up at the crack of dawn to call, then have their CM's using a HORRIBLE system goes so slowly that people wait for 2 hours to get through, then apparently there are seatings not loaded, and they have NO IDEA what time to call back to get first crack at them?????

And yet there are those that think it will somehow be better when this all goes online for thousands of people to play with at once???????????

Is anyone having any luck? I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone to get 2 ADR's made, I had intended on making 5. The two I did get aren't what I wanted. The lady thought she made me a LeCellier reservation but couldn't get a confirmation number, she told me to call back later. While I was on hold, my husband said, "Don't they know who they are dealing with? " This made me laugh Thank goodness he understands my crazy obsession with Disney

Well I had some successes but some failures today as well. Of what we wanted I was able to get

What I didn't want but got...
Cape May dinner (now my husband really wants to go there though, can't pass up a clam bake)
Garden Grill dinner
and get this....O'hana dinner (I know this is high demand but we had a bad experience last time)

WHAT I WAS JUST TOLD:
call back in 3 hours and the system should have been updated - here's hoping we all get what we want!!!!

Well, my plans for the weekend did NOT include sitting around waiting for the Disney dining system to come back up, so it's off to Ikea for me! Good luck everyone, I hope we can all make some reservations soon!!
