Uggghhh...Men and the flu...the endless whining..

Ok...have to vent...

I love men....I truly do...always have loved men, heck..I even married one.

BUTTTTTTT, why do they seem to think when they have the flu or are sick that it is suddenly a life changing event?

My hubby is sitting here hacking up a lung telling me he doesn't feel good, and I have no sympathy. My response....go lay down, just quit whining to me, I'm dising here...geesh..can't he see I'm BUSY?. Maybe I'm wrong, but, I tell him to give birth then talk to me about how bad he feels.

Men are the worst when it comes to being sick. No one has ever felt as bad as they do, have as high as fever, had worst aches, sneezed more...blah blah blah! They are worst than kids. Quit the whinning and buck up. Geez!

o man, my ex boyfriend was the WORST!!

I remember he had the flu a couple days after i had surgery and he was whining about it--(i had a huge bandage on my neck, was still laying in the hospital when he called me) i didnt even feel bad..i told him go lay down and call me later...it was pathetic

Eight years ago, my dh had the flu. He actually hooked up ds10's old baby monitor so that he could tell me if he needed anything (ie. whine, whine, whine, whine, whine, whine) while he was in bed resting upstairs, and I was downstairs. I felt like I was training for a triatholon going up and down the stairs for him, and taking care of a then-two yr. old. It lasted all of a few hours before I told him where he could stick that stupid monitor. And we've all gotten flu shots from then on.

What your missing is men do whine when they are sick. Ladies do it every day of the year. Count yourself lucky!

Not all men are bad when it comes to being sick. I don't know a single person who likes being sick. Now I hate being sick, but when I'm sick I'm the type of person who will still get up and go into work. Yes, I'm the one who spreads the germs when he's sick. I have to be told to lie down and let it run it's course. I hate to whine about being sick, or about anything else for that matter. So here's one guy who's not on that whinning list.

I got sick over Christmas-- DH got sick about a week later (I was still sick). I had to keep going as if everything was still fine. You would have thought the world was coming to an end with DH. We both with to the Dr but I was still sick a week longer than he was and I got no sympathy.
